Inserts For Decorative Pots

I was rummaging through some of my pots and found some new, never used decorative pots. What I am looking for is something I can put in the inside of
these pots. They are painted either aluminum or some kind of metal and I realy don't want to put any potting soil directly in the pot. Any suggestions?

Just put the green plastic pots(or whatever colour the plants are in) inside the decorative ones.

Be sure to drill drain holes in the decorative pots if they don't already have them. If the pot doesn't fill the decorative one, you can fill in around it with finely ground bark mulch. That will help insulate it, too.

What I do when I have decorative pots and don't want to drill holes in them is stick the plastic nursery pots in as threegardeners suggested, but when watering, I take the nursery pot out, water the plant, make sure it's finished draining completely, and then put it back in the decorative pot.

yes, taking the plastic pot out is fine, of course, but as often as we have to water here it would take a lot of cumulative time to do that. you are probably talking about houseplants, which don't have to be watered so often. i was thinking of patio pots. for some plants, from June through August, daily watering is the norm for us.
