I was given a batch of oyster plants with VERY leggy roots. Questions: do I cut the spiky top from the long root and plant it OR put it (them) in water? Also, do I cut the long roots in pieces and plant (upright or sideways?) or cut in pieces and put in water.? Mostly I'd like to whatever I can to get more plants. I'd REALLY appreciate your advice and time. Thank you...audbender
oyster plant (rhoeo spathacea) advice much needed
I had mine in dappled shade and watered. They are real easy. I called them Moses in the boat and had them surrounded by Wandering Jews. The roots are roots. I believe the plant multiplies from the plant. Anyone out there may correct me. I can't have them because my chickens eat them.
