I planted this about a month ago. It has been fine until just yesterday. It has started drooping and the leaves feel quite dry. it is getting watered although I am in California so up until recently it was being watered 3 times a week and now it is twice a week (water shortage).
Any ideas?
thank you
what has happened to my gardenia
Have you checked the moisture level in the soil by sticking your finger down a couple inches and seeing how wet it feels? Too much water and too little water have very similar symptoms so the finger test is a good way to tell which one it is. I'd also check around for signs of gophers, I can't count the number of times I've had plants wilt for no reason and it turns out they're missing half their roots because the gophers have been chewing on them.
I can't plant my gardenia in my Florida soil because of nemetode. Maybe it's something similar to that. Needs shade and water, thats all I know.
