What is wilting and standing green beans a sign of ??? Is it to much water, does it need lime, What is this behavior a sign of ??? Ph level is 6.9 Georgia red clay
Green Beans Needs What ??
With pH of 6.9 ypu certainly don't need lime. I don't know how hot you get, but snap beans here are struggling with heat. Fertility of the soil may be a problem, I don't know but beans are very forgiving of most conditions other than hot and dry. With clay, you should only water once a week but deeply (about an inch at a time) be sure to count rainfall if you get any. Clay holds water, so it is possible that you are giving them wet feet, which they don't like. Mine are about done for the season. Start again in the fall.
