Does each female flower on a squash plant have to be pollinated to mature ?? ...or once ONE of the female flowers is pollinated it takes care of the whole plant ..???
? about pollination of squash plants
The female flower once pollinated produces a single fruit at the blossom.
Each female blossom has to be pollinated each time one opens.
Now the challenge is getting the male blossoms to arrive
at the same time as the female blossoms.
Yea... that seems to be the issue in MY garden too. Tons of males...and few females. Oh well....
Thanks for the answering the pollination question. Figured it took each individual blossom to be fertilized but thought I'd ask...
