Fantastic pond, Mrs Ed. Now straighten that lantern!

As ever, great shots of wonderful birds. I wish I could comment on them all.

We went out looking for kangaroos today on a large island at one end of Perth city. This is a White-faced Heron on one of the small areas that still have a retaining wall. The entire area is being rehabilitated with native sedges and rushes to protect the banks from passing river traffic.

Thank you Margaret for a beautiful Heron shot. I watched a few of these egrets hunting for fish from a distance yesterday, the sight is so captivating. If I'm not mistaking, these beautiful birds capture their meals with their stallons?

Why did the Quail cross the road???? ( mother Calif. Quail with 14 of her 16 babes. Two of them went ahead with Dad.) Lousy pic, but the sun was at the wrong angel and it was a long shot so I had to do some real heavy cropping.

Sweet Eastern Phoebe Lily!

Duc, Love all your birds!

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Okay Adel, not fair. I went and got the peach preserves and still my Orioles totally ignored it. Is your feeder dish just below the sugar water feeder there? Your little lady looks so cute, I only wish that some of my birds would enjoy the peach preserves too. Cute little Quail babies. We have lots of them here year round but still have not seen one little one.

Nanny, your photos are always beautiful. Your Towhee is a cutie with her little attitude.
