DAILY PICS VOL. 223

Marlton, NJ

Hi 3g, Nice one! That looks like an adult male. Their smaller then the females. I watched one on my Honeysuckle yesterday as I stood frozen a few feet away.

adel, Beautiful Robin eggs! Can't wait to see the Swallows fledge.

Mrs Ed, Good one of the bathing Robin!

Frank, Great job helping those robins!

Burd, I love the Chipping Sparrow!

Putnam County, IN(Zone 5b)

I just love a wet robin!

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

Beautiful start for a new thread Duc..thanks for starting it. I love that fountain of yours and it looks like your birds do too and the price was certainly right!

Like everyone else we are starting to see juvies...here is a Downy feeding her young.

Mrs. Ed...I am most jealous of your pond but with all our rain right now I have several around the yard!

Here is the juvie Downy!

Adel, great photos of the nest and eggs. The Tree Swallows are so cute. My 3 houses are all continuously in use. Once one family leaves, another is claiming it. I'm sure it's the same there too.
Mrs Ed, cute photos!!
Frank, glad you gave in for the Robin. Cute photo!
Burd, more cute pictures!!
Three, sorry your hummer is so shy, keep talking to it.
Rose, your babies are just adorable!! I really love that baby Downy, but the Jay with the peanut is cute too!

This baby Oriole still needs to figure out how to properly sit on a perch, but at least it can sip the sugar water.

Great pic. everyone. Duc I would send some good rain if I could, only we're entering Tornadic weather, don't want send that your way.

Sending your way is this beautiful view of an Eastern Kingbird. It's sitting pretty on a Mimosa tree.

Look at this flock of Canadian Geese! These guys/gals are braving our Southern balmy summer weather to-come and have not vacated our area. Hmmm. Maybe they're waiting for the babies to be strong enough for the journey up North?

Love that shot of the famale cardinal, Met. And the Cowbirds great captures! Looks as if one is serenade the other. :-)

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Fabulous photos everyone!!
Meth, I love the Cowbirds, especially that third one. Your Goldfinches sure make colorful pictures too and Ms. Cardinal looks so lonely. After I looked at your House Finches, I think my finches must be the Purple Finches. It's so hard to tell when they're both here.

Lily, great geese and Kingbird pictures. That K.bird looks right at home in the tree.

Jec love that baby mocker!! So sweet and innocent looking.

Knip. that's an interesting bird too!!

Marlton, NJ

Great shots everyone!!!!

Rose, I love the shot of the juvy Downy!

Duc, The Tree Swallows are so beautiful!

Jec, That juvy Mockingbird is precious! Good catch!!

Knip, Handsome Dunnock!

Lily, Beautiful Kingbird!

Met, Great shots of the Cowbird and male Goldfinch!

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

threegardeners, here's a bigger pix of the pond. It's got three depths. 4" for birds and some plants, 10" and 21".

It's funny that I never see chickadees or wrens go to drink or bath. But the robins, grackles, starlings, sparrows and cardinals love it. Wish the waxwings would come back for a dip!

Margaret has Identified these as the rare patagonian guineafowl…

ha. just kidding. It's the good old domestic guineafowl just hanging out at a farm. Really quite funny to watch.

Thanks! I've said this before, but it really makes a difference to hand select the rocks.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Mrs_Ed. Love your pond setting, and the guineafowls too. Here are some that really keeping it cool, a couple of young people sun bathing with a pair of Pekin ducks. :-)
