Update on log planter

It's just too beautiful for words! You know...I've tried to imagine it in my mind a million times since you started the project. I knew it was going to be stunning but this picture just blows me away!

Now though...I'm going to be imagining what it's going to look like in July!

If I tried to plant something like that the fire ants would call it home And then snakes would hide under it. But that doesn't stop me from enjoying yours.

That is very pretty!! What a good use of a fallen log--Good job!!

Really nice! Very natural and woodsy looking, it goes great with your fence. I want a log planter!!!

The birds and blue tail skinks are keeping the ants and other various insects in check so far. Have yet to see any snakes. I do have a couple of chipmunks that play in and around this so snakes may not be far behind. As long as the are non poisonous I will let them stay but doubt they will. As for July I hope the Angel Trumpet will be blooming by then, between the log and the fence. We'll see, I'll post more then.
