Last one for tonight. They seem to like this spot by the water feature and the bananas.
Except the toads. Nope, you can't talk me into picking up the peeing toad again, Sally! LOL! Not unless he is the pool. Then I'll use the net to remove him. Know where he likes to sleep during the day, but he is always so grumpy!
My pond area is so overgrown right now I can't get close to them.
Looks like something ravaged the water lily container out front. So I'm happy to see them croakers alive and well in the gh.
Everything else is really going into drought mode, include G.ma oak. She's lost a branch, it's gone brown. A very big branch. I'll have to get a photo.
It's been fun reading the posts and catching up. Whew! Loved all of Bea's friends and I'm so happy to see skinny Salsa! I really like him because he reminds me of Kermit the frog only he's red. Salsa's name is a perfect fit. I didn't know that Penny was MIA, but I'm glad she's back. So Bea, anyone donate any more frogs to your pond? Have any come from next door? Missed our froggy friends.
So good to be home.

Who let the frogs out? - Part 3
Outstanding, SW! DH cleaned out one of our fountains today and found froggies.
Hey, frog lady, there are folks over on another thread wishing you a happy birthday! LOL
Great photos, BTW.
SW..great shots. I think your little red fellow is a California red frog. They are on the endangered species
list. Take good care of him! Salsa is an Oregon red leg frog. Distant cousin of yours . Salsa has been seen a lot these past few days. He was hanging out in a potted petunia on the porch during our hot spell.Since it is cooler he is not around now. But I did snap a few pics of him before he went away. Here he is hiding with the sad looking petunias.

Yeah, I know, but I wanted to get done showing you these frogs so I could be caught up to show what I caught today. I was having so much fun harassing the frogs. : ) Ribbit!
Be there in a couple of minutes. Sooner if people would quit interrupting me.
Sorry, I was distracted and hit the wrong photo, above is Senor Chili Pepper.
This is the frog at the base of the elderberry tree by the cabin. Whew!
Well that was a successful safari!! Don't know what you've got against the toad, just cause he got scared and wet hisself while you were holding him. LOL Glad you had fun on your birthday.
Sally,
He did it deliberately, and he enjoyed it too! Yes, I know it's a defensive mechanism with them. I like him just fine, just am glad it washes off. LOL!

Awww...cute fella. I like the markings on his face. I heard one a few days ago but haven't seen one lately - but DH found one squished. Gives me the creeps to think I might have stepped on him.
It wasn't you KC. You'd have felt him when you stepped on him. I find them like that every once in a while and figured they were either run over, (Come on! How big is that dinky foot of yours?) or they just died a natural death and dry up like that.
Sally, I am so happy that you found the little croaker and he posed for you! Some very nice photos. : - )
I've still got some some toads hopping around outside at night, and some frogs and toads in the gh, and around the pond. Just haven't had time to post photos.

How's the beach?
Dinky foot? Hah! My dad used to complain they should just buy the boxes - had a hard time finding size 10s for a young girl.
Side view. I didn't want anyone accidentally stepping on my ephemeral art so I framed it with sea weed. It's still there this morning, and I was sure some rotten kid (like me!) would have stomped it flat. What is the world coming to? I did see people taking photos of it, and lots of folks stopped to admire it. I already know what I want to sculpt next. As soon as the sand burn on my knees heals that is! LOL! : - )
Enjoy!

Very nice SW. Wish I was at the beach right now. Looks great!
ROFL!! That has got to go into the photo contest, Bea!
I agree!! Too funny!
Nicely done SW, looks like you're having a good time.
Thanks Bea and Sally, considering the medium, it came out okay. I really want to get out there and start doing my art again. I missed it. Having fun anyway.
Gosh, Bea, that Edwards Scissorhand photo is a keeper. The caption is perfect! Go for it and enter it into the contest!
I don't do contests myself, but that's a goody.I'll be missing you all at the RU tomorrow, but I'll be there in spirit. Weegy, sent something for you with DP. Would have delivered it myself. Just ask. I'll post a thread on how it grows.
No frog photos, but if you want to see surfers or fog, I got photos! I am having a good time at the beach, and am taking people photos. Hard to imagine, but true. Not much wild life, except the two footed kind. LOL!
