I've never grown potatoes before this season. I have two types, and both have leaves like this photo. What is eating them, and what do I do?
Thanks!
"Holey" potato leaves
Look under the leaves for leafworms/fruitworms.
If caterpillars/worms are the culprit, then you can prevent it by hitting the plants with BT (bacillus thuringiensis) sold as a liquid or powder. This is an organic naturally occurring bacteria which gives the little guys a chronic case of indigestion.
Thanks, Feldon. I sprayed my potatoes with BT today.
