Is Michigan Bulb Co a good place to buy from? do you have any suggestions?

They have a lot more negatives than positives in Garden Watchdog. http://davesgarden.com/products/gwd/c/186/ I'd encourage you to look any company up in there before you order from them, it's a really great resource.

I tried ordering from them in April (beginning of). They kept putting off my shipping date until it went from mid-april to July. I cancelled. I wanted to plant in spring NOT fall :)... So ya, I wouldn't order from them.

Fall/early winter is actually the best time of year to plant out here--I would still recommend finding somewhere else to buy your plants from besides Michigan Bulb, but fall planting is actually better than spring planting in our climate--you plant right before the rains start, and then the plants get the benefit of the winter rain to help them get going.

Ty, ecrane aboutthe info on MB, I wont be using MB, after your suggestion to use watchdog I have found quite a few companys that seems to have a very good rating and I think I may be using them, Im just checking them out right now for next year..Thanks for the info on the best time to plant also that is a big help to.

Sorry if I caused confusion--I was responding to Chezca's comment about not wanting to plant in the fall. In our area fall is the best time but in your area it may be different. We only get rain during the winter vs year round like most other places in the country which makes fall a better time to plant than spring since you're heading into the rainy season instead of out of it, but in a rainier area like yours spring may be equally good or possibly better--best to get advice on that from someone who lives near you.

E, I said Spring because I did want to plant during that time (Spring still gets me me excited to plant!) when I ordered from Michigan Bulb (showing how inept their service was). But your advice on Fall planting in our area is great and nice to know, thanks! You make perfect sense and I bet my plants will stand a better chance at actually seeing next season :)...
