Today I noticed 2 of my rose bushes have a fuzzy thing covering some of the rose buds. It was like sticky thing. I was able to wipe this off of one of the buds. I left the others to take a picture to post. I am not sure whether this is a disease or a bug. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank
looks like aphids and/or some type of whitefly. try spraying with an insecticidal soap. my rose bush gets aphids too, I spray it and usually that calms things down.
I agree - you have a major amount of aphids there. Insecticidal soap, or dishwashing soap mixed with water in a sprayer (2T to 1 gallon water) sprayed on the insects (you need contact) will desiccate their soft skins. You'll need to repeat this again in a week cuz you won't get all of them. Watch closely and repeat as necessary. No hard stuff is necessary.
