A mole killed one of my sweet pepper plants, and I went to a nursery to buy a replacement today. I didn't want any of the pepper varieties they had, and ended up buying an eggplant to put where the pepper was.

I've only tried growing eggplant once before, unsuccessfully. I remember it was a bug magnet, and before I noticed what was going on flea beetles and aphids killed it. They did it real quick, too.

I'll be on top of that this time and I won't let the bugs get it. What else do I need to know about growing eggplant? Thanks.

Easier to grow than tomatoes, need similar conditions as a determinate tomato. Stand heat better.
