Hi, I was just cleaning up in the cellar of my new house and was I thought were some old bushel baskets (well they were old bushel baskets...). What I didn't realise was that between the pairs of baskets the previous owner had stored his/her dahlia tubers in peat. In know that here in Ontario you are supposed to plant them after the last frost (Late April). The tubers look fairly healthy (no mould, some even have very pale green shoots starting!).
Do these tubers have any chance or is it too late? Should I do anything special?
Thanks!
Dave
Too late to plant Dahlias in Zone 5?
Plant them. They will at least make new tubers, but should bloom, too.
