Wisdomskr, you'd do well to pose that question on the tree and shrub forum.

Mechanicsville, MD

I was browsing on the Mid-Atlantic gardening site looking for another entry and came across the picture of your clustered bellflowers. Oh, they are beautiful! How old are those plants? I planted some last year and they seem like dwarfs, and I am hoping that they grow taller this year. Do you mind if I ask you what variety yours are? I saw the height of yours and flipped out and went and got my plant ID that came with mine. Mine are called campanula glomerata "Bellefleur"Blue
It says it only grows 4-8 inches tall. Are there other varieties that look like yours. Do you recall where you purchased yours from? Was it from a starter plant or you grew from seeds? If you ordered them online, do you mind sharing where you ordered them from?

Hart, after seeing your campanula glomerata superba(clustered bellflower) last night on this thread, and realizing that mine that I planted in 2009 were not the same as yours. I went on every online catalog company I am familiar with and the only place that sells the plants is Bluestone..but nobody sells the seeds for this plant, that I have found. American Meadows sells one called campanula glomerata Emerald(light blue, not purple) but those are also plants..not seed. If anybody knows of a reliable online source for Campanula Glomerata Superba(purple)please send me a D-mail. Otherwise, I will just have to wait until Bluestone or American Meadows can ship to my area in the Springtime. Have you taken any cuttings from your plant before or how does it produce seeds or do you get more plants through division?

Stormyla..Your LaHybrid "Fangio lily" is such a beautiful shade of wine. Do you recall or have a notation where you purchased?

Has anybody had any experience growing the Pink mist scabiosa?

Pippi, Hart hasn't been able to spend much time on DG lately, so she might not answer you. I just saw some Campanula Glomerata seeds somewhere in the last week. Let me think about where.

My Fangios came from JBF Nursery, an Ebay seller from New Jersey. I think that you might find some on Easytogrowbulbs website.

I am just trying my first scabiosa seeds this year.

Swallowtail Gardens has a pretty good by on the Campanula Glomerata seeds.

Roses, Have you tried growing any?

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Pippi, I haven't had any time for much gardening work since my mom had her stroke last summer, but I'll be glad to give you a bunch of rooted starts in the spring. I've never grown them from seeds. Mine all came from rooted starts other people gave me. I'm sure someone will be having a plant swap and we can figure how to get them to you.

Hi Hart nice to see you posting, we miss your presence.

Mount Bethel, PA(Zone 6a)

Stormy, I haven't tried any Campanula Glomerata yet, but I'm planning to. I need to check to see if I can successfully winter sow these.

Shenandoah Valley, VA

Roses, I have plenty of the plants if you want some too. I thin them out every spring. I'll just make up a big box of them and give them to someone who is going to all the swaps in the spring.

Hi, Holly. Good to hear from you too. I don't post much but I pop in often just to see how everyone is doing.

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Gee Hart, I was hoping that we could get you out to a swap this year, even if it was only for some fun!! You could bring the Bandit!!

Thanks hart. I'll make a note of that right now and look forward to receiving them. You really should plan to come up and stay over at least one time.

Regards
