these are to the east end of the fence, on the other side of the hibiscus and can, and there are also some nice snowqueen salvia plants blooming and some penstamons blooming happily there, also some dahlia, shrimp plant and crossandra
My Morning Glory Adventures continued..
while I was sitting in my chair this am, thinking about Pauline, and the event I didn't want to go to, I decided to look for something to make me feel better.. here is what I found...not big, not galmourus, but gosh it is early.. a pressie for me from Pauline, good mom that she is up there, and I am sure it was meant to be here at that time when I needed it most.. morning glory hope, morning glory strength, morning glory beauty even when buried inside the jungle,
I guess I have too much flowers and plants and shrubs and tress to share with my friends here in this forum, so here is a few nice bird shots this am that I was blessed with..there were alot of good shots, but I liked this one best.. I guess that ugly old wood fence the neighbors put up makes a good background afterall..
now I know who has been upending my baby plants as soon as I get them planted.. here I was blaming the squirrels
Dang, Debra! Is there anything that DOES NOT grow in your yard????!!! LOL!
You have a wonderful selection of plants! Seriously! And they ALL like your yard! WOW! That's pretty impressive. You must have good soil?
Interesting about the Starling pulling up plants! Why would they do that?
Love your bluejay! I have a family of Bluejays and a large family of Cardinals that frequent my yard. And also some white tip doves. (Which I also call Morning Doves!)
Love the sweet MG bloom hidden in there! :-)
You are growing some really neat plants!
Stay safe from any tornadoes. Yikes! Do you have a place of shelter to go if needed?
Becky.. I have a 1900 sq foot basement.. remember? LOL under the stair well.. in the far bedroom which used to be charlies... we are okay... when the sirens wail i WILL RUN, TRUST ME lol that touch dwn was in two countys away, it will be here by midnite( the storm) I will not run around like crazy like last time and move all the pots under the table and house eaves tonight.. My son just called and he is 12 miles west of me, he said nothing yet just clouds coming.. it is traveling north and east.. my hubby said most likely we will get winds and hail tonight.. when a branch breaks of two more grows.. right?

Debra - How big is your backyard again????? Looks huge!
Love how your I.strictocardia Brevenis looks! Pretty little thing!
I got two blue dawns.. one from a friend, one from an ebay guy I trust.. in this pot to the right above the doghouse against the fence.. my mom, Dee, told me while she was waiting to leave this world, that If I wanted something, whether to see it, smell it, taste it, feel it, or hear it, or go somewhere.. I better git her done while I can.. so I do.. with plants and flowers.. I can't just up and go to florida, or africa, or austrailia, or france, or newbern NC either, so I bring it on to me here..I don't go to the mall, I don't buy alot of clothes or shoes and I quit getting my nails done, just so I can afford.. to go where I want to go and see what I want to see, smell and feel the beauty of county around me .. hmmm Joe says Its gettig dark, debbe.. I better go look.. he is worried about his tator plants, they are so very pretty..
I hear ya, Debra! I spend more time and money on my garden and plants than I do myself. :-) But then again ... it IS for me! Gardening is my obsession of choice. I have friends that seem to live at the Mall. I have friends that love to party and drink at the drop of a dime. I have friends and family that take all kinds of trips everywhere ... all the time. I have friends that are into other things like quilting, crafting, sewing, etc. For me ... it's plants!
I don't know if this video is hogwash or truth, but I find it immensely interesting and I think about plant's conscienceness since I first saw the video. When I rip weeds out of my garden beds, I wonder how many plants are freaking out! LOL! :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wt3smrXkVpE
okay just did a check on the sky, moved some tropicals inside ( my desert rose and my bonsai fir and my teapot full of freesia and stuff, thoe things don't do well in huge downpours .. anyway rest of the yard will come later, yes, I am belessed with a huge backyard, that was once a mountain of red clay and weeds, an old clothesline pole stretching doen the very center and an old ruwsty swingset.. I miss my big tree that was on the northwest corner of the yard, and I miss my picnic table, but thats okay, change is good for us all.. umbrella is down, we will see how we fare thru the nite..
