Good selection of garden supplies and fast delivery. If I need something new I always check their site first. I had only good experience with them.

I wish they carried more arbors when I was looking for them in the winter.

Lee Valley has great service. They are very prompt in answering emails and phone calls. They have (mostly) great products and prompt shipping.

I had trouble with the Rolling Sprayer (EL650) and they really worked to try to make it right. The handle wouldn't stay on when the sprayer was full. They sent me a new handle, and when it still didn't work they sent a prepaid return label. In the meantime, they kept in touch by calling me to see if I was still having trouble, and tried to help.

I have (and will) buy from from them again.

I've done business with Lee Valley for 15+ years. I've bought garden tools, woodworking tools, hardware, toys, etc. Their products are great, and their service is, too. The only downside is that their shipping is pricey.

I've rarely been even mildly disappointed with anything I've bought from them. They often have old-fashioned items that can't be found elsewhere.

I have been shopping there for years and most of my garden tools are Lee Valley's. In 2002 we bought a weeding tool in May which stopped working in August. We returned it for a full refund, not a credit note. The next year they no longer offered this defective item. Wow. Our watering system is 7 years old and works beautifully. They continue to carry the small connectors that occasionally need replacing. If we want an unusual gift for a niece or nephew, we know where to go. We are not yet grandparents but we tell all our friends who are expecting or have grandchildren about the unique projects Lee Valley carries for making items that will last forever. My only peeve is that they no longer sell the best gardening jeans ever made. I have gained a bit of weight and can no longer garden in comfortable, cool jeans that have pockets and loops everywhere.

I've placed many orders with Lee Valley over the years, always positive. I usually am buying gifts for my husband - but last year splurged on the maslin jam making pot for myself. It was a joy to use during the 2006 canning season!

I had requested a catalog from Lee Valley Tools ltd. and couldn't wait to place an order. However, when I checked the prices on the website I had a rude awakening. Every item had an increased price from $ 3-5 for most and one had jumped $ 30. I had a stroke. So I emailed them and told them how disappointed I was that I wouldn't be sending an order because of the across the board raised prices.

Fortunately for both of us, I got a quick email reply with the explanation that I was probably looking at the prices in Canadian currency and how to "switch" to USA prices. Of course once I did I was thrilled to see none of the prices had increased at all.

The bottom line is communication is a two way street and because they have a wonderful, on the ball customer service dept. we both benefitted. Readers listen up, contact a company first before you write them off.I'm very happy I did.

First they confirmed my order and showed that all items were in stock and"reserved". then a second email gave total with shipping charges and tracking no. No headaches here.

I ordered Dec.22 and received my shipment this morning Dec.30. It would have come sooner but, for the Xmas holiday and the fact that Fed Ex moved the delivery date back(certainly not the fault of the shipper).

Everything was carefully packed, intact and just what I wanted.Don't know what to play with first. Just like Xmas unwrapping all these neat items was a real gas!

I couldn't fault this transaction in any way.Its easy to see how Lee Valley got rated as a top 30 company. The good comments are well deserved.

Usually I make a token order from a new company to see what goes. But when customer service emailed me right back I didn't have one doubt from then on about dealing with them., and placed an order for just under $ 150.

Will definitely order again and brag them up to all that will listen. The rating seems inadequate for this type of service so I'm really granting them an "ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE" rating.This is the way all orders should be handled.

I absolutely LOVE Lee Valley and learned about them in 2001 through an online review about a Brill Lexus reel mower (which they no longer carry). WOW ~ am I glad I found this EXCELLENT merchant!! Their pricing for this item was literally 1/3 less than what "competitive" e-tailers offered at this time; so, naturally, I ordered this wonderful "silent mower" with its grass catcher from Lee Valley, in addition to a handy pruning set, Gloves in a Bottle, and a couple of their outstanding rakes (i.e., Power & Rock). For the price I might have paid elsewhere online for the mower alone (without its grass catcher), I also purchased the other products previously mentioned and still use them today (weather permitting, of course).

This past weekend I submitted my second order with Lee Valley and forgot to include another item, so I immediately followed with an email to request this addition (on a Sunday evening slightly after 9:00 pm EST). A couple minutes later, I received an email confirmation from Heather-Ann confirming my change order, although I wasn't expecting to hear from them until the following business day. This level of personalized service and customer care sets Lee Valley far above and beyond other e-tailers (as well as brick & mortar establishments) ~ not to mention their high quality products at better-than-competitive pricing.

This time I ordered their Cultivator & Half Moon Hoe Set, Macgregor Tool Butler, Traditional Boot Scraper, Toolstep, Deep Sieve, Solid Brass Thermometer, Tire Sealant (the product I forgot to include), a couple dozen Surgical Brushes, and a "special buy limited stock" Corona Bypass Pruner. Sure, I could find reel mowers, hoes, garden tool organizers, boot scrapers, and pruners at our local big-box-chain home improvement centers ~ but nothing remotely close to the high quality gardening products with superb functional/aesthetic design found at Lee Valley ~ with their exceptional customer care and competitive prices, no less!

Great customer service, professional safe/secure packing, immediate shipping (as everything I ordered was in stock) which arrived to my front door in two business days (I'm in the northeast USA), top quality products ~ several of which I could not acquire locally (i.e., Brill Lexus Silent Mower w/ grass catcher, Power/Rock rakes, Cultivator/Half Moon Hoe Set, Macgregor Tool Butler, Traditonal Boot Scraper, Toolstep, Deep Sieve, Surgical Brushes, and Corona Bypass Pruner (definitely not at the price Lee Valley offers), and pricing better than the competition ~ who could ask for more?

Lee Valley has a stellar rating for several good reasons: Their web site is well organized and intuitive. Their catalogs are beautiful. Their customer care is unsurpassed. Their quality products are worth their weight in gold. And, their shipping cost to the USA is a bargain flat rate of $12.50 for an order over $120 (with rare exceptions of oversized items). Lee Valley ROCKS!!!

Lee Valley Tools has an interesting assortment of items, reasonably priced, quickly shipped, and durable. I'm delighted with a new hoe, pair of loppers, and a pretty good pair of inexpensive binoculars. I love this company. They have some of the best quality garden tools. Mailorder is great. A visit to one of their Canadian stores is a pleasure (they're so efficient!) Their catalogs are well-designed. What a wonderful place.

Everything was quality and packaged well. I was really impressed. I found their prices to be reasonable and I will definitely be ordering from them again. I found this company through dave's garden website. I have already placed two orders online and everything was of good quality and the delivery was very prompt. I liked how they kept me informed of the order status, even providing the tracking number. A very wide selection of items too. I'll definitely be ordering again.

I've bought lots of different gardening and woodworking tools and supplies from Lee Valley in the last ten years and have always been satisfied with my purchases.

Everything is top quality and well-priced, often cheaper than I can find at local nurseries and privately owned hardware stores.

Excellent customer service as well. For example, I ordered a propane "weed burner" and was pretty unsatisfied with its performance. After about three months of trying to use the thing, I wrote a short note about the product and returned it, asking for a merchandise credit. Though the return period had expired, they refunded both the item's price and shipping both ways, saying in a personal note that they want customers to be happy with the products they sell.

Those little scrubbers they sell for less than $1 apiece really DO get the dirt out from under your fingernails!

Lee Valley is the best. I've done business with them for over 3 years, and every instance has been excellent service and responsiveness. In addition, I find their prices to be very good. They are the first place I go to to find something.

Great company with very informative catalogs. I've always gotten good service from them and would give them a positive rating except for one small thing. Their online prices are from 35 - 40% higher than their catalog prices. I love to shop online, but with this company it's better to order by mail from their catalog. Check it out for yourself. Get their latest catalog and go online and compare prices. I don't know why they do this, but I found out the hard way.

They sell more than garden tools. Their handtool and power tool selection is awesome.

I have ordered twice from Lee Valley and I am very satisfied with the items ordered.The catalog descriptions are totally accurate and the shipping costs were lower than those of US companies closer to my home.Not only that but the shipping times were amazingly short.They have the absolut best selection of hard to find garden tools and equipment at excellent prices I have ever seen anywhere,on-or offline,USA and even Germany where I am from.I wish there would be companies of that caliber selling cars or insurance.

As a final comment, Lee Valley doesn't strive to be the Wal-Mart of the woodworking or gardening or "gadget" world, but one of the best. I LOVE Lee Valley!
