Cheryl Jones was execeptional. I called her on Monday to order a plant that several other companies wouldn't ship until fall. I received the plant 2 days later. And what a plant. I have ordered this plant from other nurseries and yours was 30 times larger and in great condition. I will recommend your company to all of my gardening friends. Thanks, again, for outstanding service and products.

Our plants arrived on a Friday afternoon and we planted them the following morning. First of all, whoever packed these plants is a true ARTIST! Everything was perfectly wrapped and coddled to prevent any possibility of damage in transit. A real work of art by someone who obviously cares.

When we saw the plants, we were amazed. We are used to seeing tired, droopy, depressed-looking plants outside of garden centers. The plants we received were bright, fresh and very healthy. After looking at the online Planting Tips, we planted them all and they look great.

In June of last year I ordered 10 Cinnamon fern from Greenwood at a price that I thought was too good to be true. I was right it was too good to be true! The bareroot fern arrived and appeared to be very old (black no signs of life) but I planted them anyway in rich well textured highly organic soil. In the following months only one of the 10 fern grew and that one a year later is still struggling for life, one frond at 4" high. I assume that when a person orders fern from an online nursery that is because what they actually want is living fern. Should I not expect a live plant even for a great sale price? I will not buy anything bareroot online again at any price and I will certainly not buy anything from Greenwood Nurseries again. I post this message on behalf of other unsuspecting customers who simply can't resist the price of the fern.

After much searching for this customer in our database, we cannot narrow it down to just one person that might be listed as “Healsing”. If he/she would like to contact me personally, I will be happy to try to work with them to clear up any hard feelings. lori@greenwoodnursery.com
I can address the issue at hand right now.
This is the link to our guarantee page. http://www.greenwoodnursery.com/page.cfm/11587

If you will notice there is a section that states:
PLEASE NOTE: Our guarantee is void when customer orders plants not listed for their growing zone or requests shipping outside our recommended shipping times. Planting instructions are provided for our customers. failure to follow these recommended instructions voids our guarantee.

If you will notice, this customer ordered Bare Root material in June. June is a VERY hot month for planting as well as shipping. All sale prices are on end of season stock. If the customer would like to purchase these items, the customer is aware that transportation to various areas of our country may take a few days. This is why they are on sale. This fall, when we have new stock on hand, it will revert back to original pricing.

Heat stress will wilt leaves on almost every plant, unless it is completely dormant. It may not kill the plant but leave it very stressed for that growing season. This is a factor the customer will weigh in on their decision to buy the plant material or not.

As for the Bare Root vs. the Container issue, that is up to the customer in most cases, with the exception of the west coast states. Their Dept. of Agriculture requires ALL plant material to be brought in as bare root material. This is point-blank, no exceptions. (Since we really don’t want to face federal fines, we tend to follow the rules, on this one particularly.) Container and bare root are both cared for the same way. We place a moisture retention gel on the bare root material and wrap it so that the moisture cannot leak out.

If anyone has questions on plant material or shipping or growing, don’t hesitate to call or email us. There is a combined 40+ years of nursery experience in this little office itself and if we can’t figure it out, we will work to find out the right answer for you.

And if you are “Healsing”, please contact me personally.

After initial email questions I had - including advice on plants that would fulfill my needs - were quickly and thoroughly answered by the owners, I took the plunge and ordered 15 plants! Never before have I been so pleased and satisfied with the packing, healthy condition, and size of any catalog or internet order! In less than 2 weeks since receipt, my new bushes were doing great. And better yet, I don't have to use a magnifying glass to locate them in my landscape - no wonder I'm so excited to have found Greenwood Nursery.

Past experiences with other companies have been marginal, at best. And I've tired of later calling to report of failures. It's fine to offer guarantees on stock but, as a customer who'd rather not spend additional time awaiting replacements AND the delayed growth of item(s) ordered, I much prefer dealing with a company that does it right the first time and delivers what it promised.

For time and money well-spent, I'll return to Greenwood for any future needs!

This is the first year that I have made plant purchases over the internet. I tested the market making purchases from a number of Nurseries, Eburgess, Honeycreek, and Direct Gardening as well as yours. The first thing that I noticed was that your prices are higher than the others. When I compared the products that I received from all the nurseries, I can understand why there is a price difference.

The plants I received from the others were smaller than what was promised, some were dead, and some were missing item. The ground cover was so small it was difficult to find in the bag. Their shipments were poorly packaged which accounted for some of the poor conditions of the plants. Some of the packages took well over a week to get here and they are not much further away from me than you are.

Both of the shipments I received from you were professionally packaged, and arrived very fast. The hybrid Poplars were all larger than I expected and some larger than what you advertised. The second order was Yashino Cherry trees and Pink Flowering Almond. This order was also professionally packed, delivered very fast, and contained plants larger and in better condition than I expected.

I guess the results of my testing of the market is simply "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" Next spring when we get ready to plant, I will not be fooled by cheaper advertised prices. You are now the only mail order Nursery for us.

Thanks

I ordered 5 green giant trees from Greenwood last year, which arrived healthy. As described on the nursery's website, the trees are growing quickly. Because of the positive experience last year, I decided to purchase eight ornamental grasses, which are not sold by local nurserys in my area. Upon arrival, 7 of the 8 grasses looked great. After two weeks, I emailed Greenwood and notified them that the 8th grass had no growth upon arrival and still appeared dead. I also explained that while 2 grasses of the same type had growth upon arrival, no further growth had occured. Rather than question me, Greenwood admitted some of the grasses had not broken dormancy and notified me that three new grasses would be shipped to me free of charge. I will definitely order from Greenwood again.

The people there are very nice and helpful, but I was disappointed to receive an e-mail a day or two after my order saying that it would not be shipped out until the week of May 12 because their shipping department is booked until then. So my trees are in stock, according to the e-mail, but I won't get them until about month after I ordered them. I do appreciate the company letting me know about this delay, but it still makes me wish I had not ordered the trees by mail, but had picked them up at a nursery instead. Gardening has been my hobby for several years, and I practically live at the local nurseries during the spring months. However, this was my first on-line order, and I didn't know what "mail order" plants would look like. When UPS brought the long narrow box down the driveway, I thought there had made a mistake!! (Hello!!?? where are the rest of my plants??)

I opened the box and everything was in there...All the roots were wrapped in wet packing and plastic--not the big ol' pots full of dirt that I was used to. Everything looked healthy and robust (except for the dormant burning bushes, but they had plenty of leaf buds)...All I could say was "WOW...this makes sense! Healthy plants ready for planting, No extra postage for soil, and NO plastic pots to clog up the garbage!"

I'm tickled pink with the entire experience. The plants were great quality and the order was correct (even though I changed it while it was being processed) They responded to my gardening questions THE SAME DAY I asked them...They even through in some gloves and an extra plant!

Thanks Greenwood, I look forward to my next order!

I will never, never, ever buy from these shysters again and would recommend that you look elsewhere for a supplier. I will recommend to all I know not to buy from them.

On June 26, 2007, my 95 year old mother wanted me to by her some rose bushes like she had when she was young. I looked online and found that Greenwood Nursery had just what she wanted. I ordered $143.85 worth of Rosa Rugosa, The Living Fence from Greenwood Nursery.

On June 26, 2007, at 7:52 AM PDT, I received an email from Greenwood agent Shasta Griffin (shasta@greenwoodnursery.com) stating:

"Your order is scheduled to ship during the week of Oct 15th through UPS delivery. You will receive free shipping. We have checked your city for that time and it seems like it will be too cold to plant them. We can still send it out but will not be able to offer the guarantee to you. We would recommend spring of 08."

I called to concur that the spring of 2008 shipment is the only time that we could be assured of good planting results and the only time we would accept shipment. The Greenwood customer service agent told me that she had made a notation on the order to ship in the spring of 2008 and bill my mom's debit card at the same time next spring.

Wonderful, next spring would have been perfect!

Then on October 17, 2007 at 8:09 AM PDT I received another email from Greenwood Nursery stating:

"Due to the lack of rainfall in our area, local growers aren't able to dig as they normally would . We hope this delay will not last longer than 2 weeks. Rainfall is predicted for our area later this week. Once we can get a couple of good rain showers, our growers will be able to start digging and bringing in the plants.
Digging while the ground is this dry, will tear apart the root system and damage the upper portion of the plants.
We apologize for this delay. Your order will not be processed until the plants on your order are in and ready for shipping."

I called Greenwood Nursery and spoke to a clerk and reminded them of the conversation I had with a customer service agent immediately subsequent to the email of June 26 and the agreement that we had that the ninety rose bushes were not to be shipped until Spring of 2008. I told them that the delay in shipment would be unacceptable and that we could not accept shipment this late in the year. She said that she would make another note on the order not to ship until Spring 2008.

On October 30, 2007 Greenwood sent us an email that the roses which they had said would be sent spring 2008 had already been shipped!

The next Greenwood Nursery email said:

"Your recent order, #65549, has shipped. Follow the link below to UPS and enter your tracking number to find the current status of your order. This is your link to plant handling, site preparations, planting and care instructions.

I checked the tracking for UPS which indicted that the product was not scheduled for delivery until November 6, 2007 which was over three weeks later than the October 15 date that Greenwood nursery had previously noted was already too late in our area for fall planting 2007 but they were shipping them anyway.

I checked my bank account which indicated that they had debited my mom's account for the $143.85 before even notifying me that they had already sent the plants contrary to their own recommendation for proper planting time, contrary to my request, and contrary their agreement with us!

I immediately called Greenwood Nursery. They apologized about shipping the roses at such a late date, when they had originally agreed to ship them in the Spring of 2008. However, the customer service agent said to go ahead and plant the roses anyway and mulch them this fall [read here "winter" in North Idaho]. She said if we were to have a lot of mortality over the winter, we were to call Greenwood Nursery in the Spring of 2008 and they would replace any plants that had not survived planting in the winter.

On November 6, 2007 the roses arrived. The ground was frozen hard and snow was in the air.

Within the week it became apparent that the opportunity to plant the roses according to Greenwood Nursery's suggestion (of just planting them and mulching them and seeing how many survive by spring) was not going to happen this year. I called the Greenwood Nursery to let them know that there had not been any opportunity to get the roses in the ground as per Greenwood's directives and asked what I should do since the ground was frozen. Their Customer Service Agent said she would speak with the owners when they got "back."

On December 4, 2007 at 9:30 AM PST Erica Ramsey sent me this email:

"There is a problem with your order, # 65549 placed on 06/26/07. I have spoken with the owner of the company regarding this issue. She said that if you can ship the plants back to us in the condition that you received them, that we would refund the full amount upon receipt of the merchandise."

I emailed them back requesting return authorization.

December 4, 2007 9:18:26 PM PST

Dear Erica,
Would you please send me a post paid return shipping label so that I can return the product and arrange for UPS to pick it up at our address.
I also need you to send the boxes for the return shipment since I had no place to store the roses after they arrived. They have been sitting on frozen ground out in the snow since they came and the current boxes are not suitable for shipment.

• Although I waited for a break in the weather to follow Greenwood Nursery's directives, the entire shipment arrived too late for that break in the weather to be "satisfactory for planting".
• Because they did not ship the plants in the Spring of 2008, but rather shipped them in the winter of 2007, and subsequently told me to plant them when the weather would break and be "satisfactory for planting", and because they would not grant me return authorization, the roses are no longer viable.
• They owe my mom $143.85 for failure to ship the roses at the agreed upon Spring 2008 delivery time and for the ultimate demise of the entire shipment of plants.

Post Script to this Horror Story: Greenwood Nursery, (whether by forethought and design, I don't know) stretched this whole proceeding out so long that it was beyond the 60 day limit of time in which I could recoup my mom's money through the bank.

I am really angry that a big company can take a 95 year old widow's hard earned money, ship the plants in the winter when they said they would ship in the spring and then unabashedly state that they have fulfilled their obligation to produce live plants to the customer. They could ship them to the North Pole in January and still make the same claim. I am sure they are laughing all the way to the bank on this one!

The only way I was able to resolve this problem was to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to which Brenda Walker wrote the rebuttal below. I have interleaved my comments thereto in [brackets].

To their credit they have agreed to send the order mid April as they had said they would do when I ordered the roses back in June of 2007.
The following is the letter I sent back to the Better Business Bureau:

Dear Ms. Smith,
In Greenwood Nursery's refutation of my complaint, the presentation of Brenda Walker, below contains a number of fallacies, some twisting of what I said and some statements that I interpret as having been said to smear my character.

I have interleaved my rebuttal in brackets into their comments below to correct the inaccuracies in the record.

From Greenwood Nursery

To Whom It May Concern: On June 26, 2007, Mrs. Aleta Sonnenberg placed an order with our Nursery online. Once an order is placed with our company, the customer is sent an email confirmation concerning their shipping time and a recap of the order. The order confirmation was sent to Mrs. Sonnenberg on June 26, 2007 with a scheduled shipping time of the week of October 15th and a suggested later time was included in the order confirmation. Our company has a policy to note any request concerning order changes and emails from customers on their account and concerning the October 15 scheduled shipping time, there were no notes or requests from Mrs. Sonnenberg to change the shipping time of her order.

[THE FACT THAT THEY DID NOT POST A NOTE ON MY ORDER REFLECTS THEIR NEGLIGENCE.]

The customer has claimed that she did call with a request to change the shipping time but could not recall who she had spoken with and no notes were posted to her file of any call from her.

[AGAIN, THE FACT THAT THEY DID NOT POST A NOTE ON MY ORDER REFLECTS THEIR NEGLIGENCE.]

[The first time I called Greenwood Nursery, I concurred with them in their evaluation that October 15 was too cold to ship to our area and I told them that Spring of 2008 was the only time that we could receive shipment. I was assured that a note for Spring of 2008 shipment would be put on my order.]

[If Greenwood Nursery needs to know what dates I called them, and would like to have me FAX the phone records to them, I would be glad to comply so that they can provide more thorough training or devise a better system for their service reps for order fulfillment scheduling changes.]

On October 17, 2007 Mrs. Sonnenberg was sent a second email concerning a delay in shipping her scheduled order, which was still scheduled to ship the week of October 15th, due to weather issues and that the order would be shipped with in a 2 week period,

At this time, no notes or emails were posted to her file
for any requests made by the customer concerning the shipping of her order.

[AGAIN, THE FACT THAT THEY DID NOT POST A NOTE ON MY ORDER REFLECTS THEIR NEGLIGENCE.]

[Brenda is accurate here that Greenwood erred and indeed did not post the notes to our file.]

At the point the customer received this email, she could have requested that the order not be sent out at that time, thru email or calling our office.

[ACCORDING TO AT&T PHONE RECORDS, I called Greenwood Nurseries at their toll free number, and spoke to a clerk to remind them of the conversation I had with a customer service agent on June 26 and the agreement that we had that the ninety rose bushes were not to be shipped until Spring of 2008. She apologized that she could not find the note that the service agent, on June 26 had assured me that she would tag onto our order! I told them that the two week delay in shipment will be too long and that we cannot accept shipment this late in the year. She said that she would make yet another note on the order not to ship until spring of 08.]

The order was processed and shipped on October 30th and Mrs. Sonnenberg has stated that she received the shipping confirmation and called our office with a concern that the order was not supposed to ship until spring of 2008, at that point a Greenwood representative told the customer, if she wanted to keep the order and plant the items and that if any did not survive the winter that we would guarantee the order and replace the items in spring of 2008,

[Immediately upon receipt of the email of October 30 I called Greenwood Nursery, very concerned because the shipment was coming too late to plant. I asked the customer service rep what I should do with the plants when they were to arrive on November 6. I WAS NOT INSTRUCTED TO SEND THE PACKAGE BACK; I WAS NOT INSTRUCTED TO REFUSE DELIVERY! ]

[I was NOT told IF I wanted to keep the order to plant them, I was told that I should plant them when our weather was "satisfactory for planting." Our ground was frozen and although I waited for the weather to be satisfactory for planting, we did not get any break in the weather to plant.]

The customer received the order on November 6 and with her recorded temps for that week, would have had adequate time to plant the items.
We do have a copy of the recorded temps for her area at this time.

[Greenwood Nursery said that they said they have our recorded temps for the week of Nov 6. There are no weather stations near our location that record the weather temps at our altitude (3000 ft.). However, there is one NOAA station about 30 miles from here whose temperatures on average are about 10-15 degrees higher than ours. The week before the shipment of the roses the night time temperatures were 30, 20, 20, 19, 30 and 29 degrees respectively. The average night time temperature all of November did not get above the twenties. Our soil was frozen at the time of delivery of the roses and has not thawed yet. We still have two feet of snow in our garden with two inches of new snow today and six more forcast for tonight.]

The customer was also informed at this time that she could send the package back and we would refund her account.

[I specifically was told at this time that I was NOT TO RETURN the shipment but to wait till a time, according to their manager "when your weather is satisfactory for planting" and then plant the roses. After a week waiting for time that I could plant the roses, it was plain that that time would not come before spring.]

Also, the customer could have refused the delivery and the order would have returned to us, at no charge to the customer.

[As noted above, I was specifically told at this time that I was NOT TO RETURN the shipment but to wait till a time, according to their manager "when your weather is satisfactory for planting" and go ahead and plant and mulch them and wait for spring.]

The customer did neither of the steps in returning the order.

[According to the AT&T phone records, I called again the end of November, and asked what I should do with the roses. Erica told me that she would talk to the owners when they got "back". Ms. Ramsey did not indicate where they had gone. I assumed it was to lunch. But Erica did not get back to me for nearly a week.]

The customer instead held the order in the shipping box for approximately 23days and did not attempt to plant the items.

[I COULD NOT plant them that late in the winter. Our night time temperatures were about 10 degrees lower than those recorded at the NOAA weather station which recorded night time minimums for the rest of November (while I was waiting to plant according to Greenwood instructions) running 25, 32, 32, 22, 22, 39, 42, 35, 30, 28, 25, 16, 16, 12, 22, 18, 24, 26, 26, 22, and 20 degrees F. The roses were not sent dormant. They were sent fully leafed out. So I left them in the box hoping to shelter them from the frigid night time temperatures we were having.]

The customer called our office on November 30th and requested a refund, stating that she did not plant the items due to weather conditions. At the time of delivery of the items, there was optimum time to get the plants planted with no adverse affect of the up coming winter temps,

[I could not get the roses into the frozen ground. As I said above, the nights were winter nights. Not like some night in Tennessee. The temps were running 25, 32, 32, 22, 22, 39, 42, 35, 30, 28, 25, 16, 16, 12, 22, 18, 24, 26, 26, 22, and 20 degrees F.]

but customer stated she did not get a break [in the weather] and had not planted the items. On December 4th our customer service department receives a call [I emailed them; this time I did not call] from the customer requesting a refund and customer was told even at this point, if she would return the plants in the same condition she received them in,

[It had now been a month since I requested what I should do with the roses. The roses had been outside, because the box said keep cool and protect from drying. The boxes are wet and had snow on them. I wrote to Erica Ramsey explaining the condition of the boxes, requesting new boxes so I could "return them in the condition they had been received."]

we would refund her account, the customer failed to return the order at this point. The customer stated that a return authorization was requested by her,

[Every other company that I have dealt with, has required a return authorization label, or a return authorization number or receipt of some kind. So I also requested that they send me that authorization so I could return the roses promptly.]

but we do not require a return authorization

[I waited 37 days to hear back from them. They did not communicate at all. They did not tell me that they did not use the return authorization system. Nor did they say they would or would not send the return boxes.]

and customers can send their order back to us with no problem and their account is refunded.
On January 10 our customer service representative received a email from customer wondering if we wanted her to send the order back to us.

[I waited 37 days to hear back from them. So, yes, I wrote to ask them if they indeed, did want me to return them thinking maybe they wanted me to discard them and save them the postage.]

Greenwood had already made several recommendations, that this customer did not follow

[I followed what they told me, to the letter: "wait until a time when your weather is satisfactory for planting, go ahead and plant and mulch them and wait for spring."]

and due to the customer ignoring the recommendations,

[I did not ignore anything. I waited 37 days to hear back from them. ]

and the holding of the plants for an extended time,

[I waited 37 days to hear back from them.]

the guarantee was at that point voided.
This customer has made very slanderous comments on the web about Greenwood Nursery

[See my exact post at [HYPERLINK@davesgarden.com]]

but we strive to satisfy all our customers and this customer has stated that "we took her 90 year old mothers money", when in fact we have not had an order for any one other than Mrs. Aleta Sonnenberg.

[I have Power of Attorney over my 95 year old mother's finances. Verily, it is my mother's money and her memories we are talking about here.]

Greenwood would like to resolve this issue for both parties involved and will go above and beyond our guarantee to resolve. Greenwood Nursery has set up a replacement order; Please refer to order #71942 and copy of order below, for the plants at no cost to Mrs. Sonnenberg to ship this spring. Greenwood Nursery would also request, that after the replacement order is shipped out that no other business be done with Mrs. Sonnenberg or her family.

[The feeling is mutual here! I will gladly not deal with them again.]

The replacement order is scheduled to ship during the week of May 12 through UPS delivery. Below is a recap of your order. Order # 71942 Item Number Description Qty Ord. Qty Shp. Qty Bck. Expected By ROS RU ST Rosa Rugosa Red Stock Item 90.00 0.00 90.00 The total of your order is: $0.00 Sincerely, Brenda Walker Greenwood Nursery

[I praise them for standing up to their contractual obligations to finally ship the roses in the Spring of 2008 as they originally said they would. I will accept this shipment when it arrives as being the fulfillment of my order nunc pro tunc as it should have been in the beginning. It's just been a long haul on this one.]
On May 13th, 2008, 2sonn changed the rating from negative to positive and added the following:

Dear Steve and Cheryl Jones,

I just wanted to tell you the update on the roses that arrived last November (too late to plant). Because of your superior packing of the rosa rugosa plants, even though they sat in their boxes all winter outside and under 5 feet of snow, this May when the snow finally all melted, we noticed that the roses in the soggy boxes had already started to bud out! So we thought, what have we to lose? We planted them all and it looks like we will have about 95% survival rate! You have superior plants as well as superior packaging. I am really impressed.

I am changing our rating of your company and products to Positive because of this experience.

I see that you sent the replacement order, as you promised, but since we are having such a success rate with the others, we will pay for the replacements you are sending.

I am very happy with the good customer service Greenwood Nursery gave me recently, when as a novice concerning growing fruit trees, I placed an order for a sweet and a tart cherry trees along with 2 apple trees.

I made mistakes in what I ordered, and they had made a mistake in the information they had posted on their web site concerning a self-sterile cherry tree I wanted.

Their mistakes, along with my mistakes and novice statis concerning the needed pollinizers for the trees I ordered, resulted in a week of my researching the issues, and several times my having to contact them.

After all that, I am very happy with how quickly they rectified their mistakes, and how patiently their customer service person dealt with me over the time it took for me to discover and learn how to rectify my mistakes.

I respect the professional way they dealt with me, and how graciously they quickly adjusted my original order of 4 trees down to the only 2 trees, which I finally realized were all that I needed from what they had to offer. Even then they are still agreeing to send me a new set of garden gloves, which was offered as a perk with my orginal order.

This was the second time I have ordered from them. My first time I ordered a Dawn Redwood 'Gold Rush' from them, and that was two years ago. I remember being very pleased at how good of condition that tree was in when it arrived for me.

Because of both these above described ordering experiences turning out so well, I can now feel very confident about the two bareroot fruit trees, which they have promised to ship me. It will catch me by complete surprise, if these 2 trees ordered arrive in anything less than a reasonably good condition.

On August 5th of 2007, Greenwood offered to replace this customer’s plants under our guarantee.

• 1. If any part of your order is incorrect or arrives damaged, let me know immediately and I will send out a replacement as quickly as possible at no additional cost to you. YOU MUST keep all boxing and plants/products until you hear back from the nursery on how to proceed.
Failure to do this will void the guarantee.
UPS has one week from date of notification to pick up damaged shipments.
• 2. If any plant dies during its first planting season, we will gladly replace it. You pay only 50% of current member pricing, plus actual boxing/UPS shipping charge. However, we must be notified by email or snailmail and receive pictures by July 15th. Otherwise, this claim cannot be honored.
• 3. If any plant dies within twelve months from the date of purchase, you may request a replacement within those 12 months and pay only 50% of current member pricing, plus boxing/UPS charge which can vary according to weight and size of box. Pictures may be
• emailed or sent snailmail to us during that period.

Since we can’t see the conditions that the trees were planted in, we request that pictures be sent in so that we can see if there is a possible solution to planting situations.

The customer never responded to our replacement email sent to him on August 5th.

Since the trees were received by the customer in Spring, but he did not let Greenwood Nursery know until August that they were not fairing well, the order is guaranteed under part 2.

Now, In January of 2008, months later, this customer decided to post a negative review.
Greenwood Nursery at that point emailed the customer to offer the replacements again under the guarantee as offered in August, and the customer did not accept the offer again.
We stand behind our quality, which is why we offer our guarantee.

For the last 4 years I've received about 50 Bald Cypress per year from Greenwood. This year 15 of the trees had their roots cut off; last year there were 8 such trees.

Although they are quick to replace these trees with no questions asked, it seems like such a ridiculous and unnecessary waste.

Once again, Greenwood Nursery replaced without question those Cypress that had had their roots cut off when they were dug up and packaged. Also to their credit, they are notifying their supplier of this persistant problem.

Their prices are competitive, they pack well, they ship quick, and there are no hidden fees when ordering. Greenwood Nursery has proven to be the best source we have found for Cedar Green Giant. We purchased a large number of these a few years ago when we could not find any offered locally. All of them lived and thrived in rocky, lean soil in a consistently windy location. They were not touched by the deer, elk, rabbits and undergound critters who regularly tore up our landscaping. Now we've just finished planting 40 of them at our new home (and are expecting another shipment of 20 next week). The new plants arrived in perfect condition and were very large, healthy green, extensively rooted and even bamboo-staked. Although we are starting to see these plants offered at the local nurseries now, there is just no comparison $-wise. Greenwood Nursery beats them hands-down. Over the years we have been pleased with other purchases from Greenwood as well (an elm tree, ground cover, assorted shrubs) and highly recommend this fine company to folks doing their own landscaping projects.
