I received an e mail today saying the US has asked everyone to step out on their lawn tonight at 10:30 eastern time and light a candle. They will be taking a satellite picture of the US tonight and will post it on the news tomorrow. I"ve had the radio on all day and not heard of this. Anyone???

I haven't heard that one. We were encouraged to light a candle last Friday evening at 7 pm....but I hadn't heard anything about a request to do this activity tonight.

Never thought of that! It came to me , like when someone sends you something that has been forwarded dozens of times. I do know the person, it does send me jokes, but this, I just wondered if anyone else had heard. You would think it would have been on all the stations if so, instead of seeming like a last minute thing. Doris

And in yet another spin, I'd received something saying to light a candle outside at 10:30pm last Friday. I think most mean well, but there hasn't been stuff on our local news about this, especially anything about a satellite picture.
