Some new to bloom lilies:
Kiss Me Kate (I think).
Lilies: 2009 Blooms #4
That 'Crimson Pixie' clump is just beautiful.

jmorth, how do you do it? Are you really in 5b? You're always weeks ahead of me. You have a magic touch, for sure. Beautiful shots -- that Dayview picture, for example, is stunning. And your Green Goddess is not only lovely in itself, but gives a tantalizing view of some of the rest of your garden, with the lily forest in the background. Would love to see some more landscape shots.
I really like the color and form of "Firetruck". Nice show, Jmorth :-)
They are all beautiful.
I love the Lorraine Sunshine with Crimson pixie combination.
Well it ain't pretty, but the FFO on Sweet Lorraine finally opened today.! I don't think our weather has been conducive to making pretty lilies this year. Almost all the the tips of the buds are brown like they got nipped by the late couple of cold blast we had or all the rain. And the hail we had last week was not helpful either!
jmorth makes me jealous too, wickerparker :) Ours will come....
The shot os 'Green Godess' is very telling, not only of what a great flower you have there, but what a sweet spot your yard must be. That bench looks like it would be a great spot to veg out and ponder life. What a wonderful setting.
Nice blooms you guys. I can hardly wait for lily season ( I think I say that 9 months of the year, don't I? Lol.)
jmorth, I've never heard of heliopsis and it's hardy in zone9, yipee for me. I found it at Lazy S Farm. Going on my want list, I'd get it now except I think it's too hot to plant anymore.

Wow, those are lovely, Steve. Love those pale yellows.... and they look great with allium.
Love your Baywatch(?) and Oriana. :)
Yesterday I received my B&B bulbs, they were so beautiful, it was all I could do not to plant them directly inground but it is hot and predicted to get hotter this week, so I followed the Steve/Ticker tip and potted in pots lined w/ aluminum foil, shiny side out. Then placed the pots in a shady spot.
I got Lollipop (jmorth, I got lollipop!), Landini and I can't remember what else. They were nice!
Why thank you Wicker, Moby :-) :-)
Voss, congrats on receiving your bulbs - what exactly did you get? I got mostly LA's though some OT's and Trumpets as well as an LO and they were wonderful in size, condition. Mine are all in pots now too - have been for a week - and many have sprouts. Good luck with yours!
THIS is an OT I will buy more of....it is HUGE with great form and color - similar to Silk Road but much flatter and more outfacing. Great bud count first year too. "Candy Club" is the name.

Lovely display Steve! Too many pretties to single any one out; I want them all. ;-)
Steve, That Candy Club is gorgeous! I am so glad I got them this spring!
Wow Stevie, your lilies are just heavenly. After such a disappointing peony year for me (second in a row) I can hardly wait for the lilies to start in blooming!! :)
Vossner, thanks for the credit, but it wasn't me that suggested the tin foil method. I just pot mine up the old fashioned way and then keep them in a garden wagon and if it gets too hot I can roll them into the shade. :) So far, it has not gotten that warm here that I've needed to worry about it, unfortunately. It hasn't been warm enough here to get a peony to propperly open, let alone to make me happy. :) LOL
Steve,
What great gardens, I am so jealous!
We have been soooooo wet for a year and a half, that I have about 50 empty areas where there were lilies. I've been out trying to get the weeds under control and I keep finding tags with no lilies, guess that's what happens when you try to grow lilies in a swamp! Really hard on the attitude, not to mention the lilies, when it rains for 3 days and sunny for one, then 3 more days of rainy misty weather along with cool all spring. But hey, I've got a GREAT crop of botrytis going right now!
Let me know how the foil works for you this summer. As I said I've been doing this for a few years now and I think it helps just enough to keep the bulbs and roots a touch cooler and less suseptible to hot baking in sunny situations. Go ahead and wrap the pot with the foil, I don't think it can hurt and it will still reflect some of the heat the rays of the sun emit.
Everyone, keep those great pictures coming...they may be the only lilies I see this summer! Really, I have Buff Pixie, Rosepoint Lace, and Claude Shride blooming right now.
Thanks Sue :-) And I am sorry about the issues you're having with your "swamp". Add in all of the rain I guess that you guys have had in the past few years, and your water table is quite high I am sure which makes you even more susceptible to problems. However I DO remember you posting wonderful pictures of your back yard and would lovge to see them again - we all know what you're capable of!!
Nery, it was Ililyfan who had the idea about the foil. She presented it to us at the IA Roundup as a way she'd found to be successful with managing lilies in pots and the problems summer heat can present. And, Sue knows a LOT about lilies so she knows what she's talking about! :-)

Thanks you guys all for the nice words :-) I am afraid we are having high winds and heavy rains now with Tornado warnings tonight and I can already see one of my tall yellow OT's has fallen over. Sigh. As soon as the rain/lightning dies down I am going out to rescue it :-)
Lilyfan, lilyfan, OK. I followed your tip. thanks. Steve I got lollipop, Landini and Brunello. The bulbs were really nice.
