Whatever happened to the Top Ten Thugs List?

And the top ten favorites? I remember them being right off the Plantfiles, but even a search doesn't turn them up. I loved those things and learned a lot from all those lists.

I don't remember why, but I removed them from the PF homepage quite some time ago. I've put it back now. :)

I think we removed them the last time we tweaked the PF wording.

The "top" lists were/are unfortunately prone to stagnation; I don't recall the last time we had a new plant make the "top" lists (In fact, I'm not sure they've changed since we introduced them.)

In their original spots, they took up a lot of room at the top of the page, and we found many readers never scrolled down to see the newest photos and comments, so the page appeared to be very static. As long as they're below the new additions--which do change frequently--I think it's fine to bring them back. ;o)

I do recall the stagnation you mention, on the other hand now that it is back up I see several new plants from the last time that I checked them. I do enjoy learning about what others like, and also what drives them crazy. That thugs list has saved me more than a little heartache. :)
