Love those fuzzy chicks! I wondered the same thing too, what is a cherry egger? Hay, I noticed your feeders aren't covered - at what age to do put the cover on? A little while ago when I cleaned the box I put the covers on for the first time - do you think it;s too early? It was kind of sad, I love watching them scratch the feed all over the place, they take scratching so seriously LOL. Should I take the cover off?
I took pics of them today having their daily grass & dirt fest, LOVE everything they do!!

Hi Annie: My feeders are always open for the first couple weeks. I know its a waste of food but I don't care. I love letting them scratch for their food, it's part of the show...LOL I do this cause it allows their natural instincts to fully function and because it makes me laugh. As you said they take it so serious. I don't really care about the waste, it amuses me to watch them. Also they pick through the mess and I love watching them. No other reason...My wife say's I'm a screw loose, what can I say....Hay

Thanks, Hay. I took the covers off this morning, they were so happy! I don't mind the waste either, LOVE to watch them scratch. the little Silkie Roo is a savage at scratching LOL I got up an hour earlier so I could sit and watch them for a while before anyone else got up. I swear they change every couple of hours and I hate to miss any of it!

I will check mail today, did not get a chance yesterday as we had an impressing date.... Heeler Soccer..
LOL Take on Blue Heeler Boozer, one puppy Roper, one kid and a soccer ball and mix in a arena with the kid kicking the ball... It was a hoot, the dogs chasing it and Billy kicking and running... It lasted till the sun went down. I promised him we would yesterday, as he got a new soccer ball. So we came home did chores and hit the arena...
I promise I will get the mail today...

Do you not get mail delivery??? What the dickens happend to the pony express! I guess I just took it for granted this day and age everbody had mail delivery service. You know kinda like everybody has chickens...Don't they. Noooooo! Hmmmm.
No I dont get mail service out where I live, I have to get it at the little general store out there... LOL I live out in the sticks..

We have to pick up our mail at the Post Office too, Miss J, you aren't the only one.
We have to pick ours up at the post office to cause dh backed over our mail box a few weeks ago!!!!!!Now I have to drive out town everyday to get my mail.Be glad when the ground thaws out so I get get my mail box back
Well we live in the sticks also, but I just used one of those sticks and stuck a mail box on it. Magically after that we started getting mail...imagine that...LOL
LOL I am thinking that the mail person would not know what that is.,.. There is a spot up the road with a bunch of boxes, but it is past the store so it is easier to get it there.
