Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Here is Teaspoon.. The smallest I think.. This one belongs to Catscan, but possession is 9 tenths right? Think I could hide it?? Someone give me suggestions on what to tell her about it's disappearance. LOL

OH ZZ's we have such a love-hate relationship!!! I love your birds, but I hate it that they are yours instead of mine. The names and the birds are excellent, I feel so outa sorts about it all>LOL way to go girl. Haystack

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Well just think Haystack when the roos grow up they can be yours!!!!!!!! GOTCHA!

Conroe, TX

You could hide Teaspoon anywhere and just tell her it wondered off someplace....just don't know where....can't seem to find it.....it is so small you know.

Lodi, United States

Hmmmm. Is no one to be trusted?

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Oh Hi Catscan.. Just kidding.. I can't help it.. This is the cutest batch of babiez I've hatched yet!!

Just wait till you see your babiez in person! I hope you don't mind me naming Teaspoon... Couldn't help it.

Conroe, TX

Oh Catscan, um well, ah just kidding :)

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Here is the pic I was looking for Catsy... I remember now.. there were 3 that were yours..

Ferndale, WA

OH, ZZ's your so fickle, " This is the cutes batch I've hatched yet" Give me a break, Can't you just be true for once in your life...I felt the same way a couple years ago when I saw you sitting on Santa's lap. I remember thinking "aah that woman is so fickle...LOL Gotcha back baby...Those babiez are darling, Teaspoon, that is so cute, you've got a great nack for names. Come on up and help me with names for mine. I just don't have a creative bone in my body...

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

You got it Haystack.. Fickle is my middle name I'm sure! I live in the moment way too much.. I used to wish I would change.. but not anymore.. I am who I am and I like it now. :)

Okay.. get me some pics with a little bit of description, I LOVE picking names! *warning* I'm keeping the good ones for my future flock of Seramas.. :)

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

LOL you know Haystack, Billy will assist you too if you dont mind cartoon characters like Spiderman (Which one of his hens are named) Spongebob (Another hen) Mustard and Sunshine.... Come on this from a boy that names his geese Sesame street, Cookie and Ketchup....Now if only we had a Mayo...

Ferndale, WA

Miss Jester that is so cute:

Until you posted the picture of Teaspoon next to a teaspoon I had no idea how tiny these guys really were. Just can't imagine how you manage to hatch them, let alone help them out of the shell. Amazing! The cute-o-meter is over 10 on serama's!

Ferndale, WA

Annie I feel so totally helpless when I have to help them, honestly, I feel enept and I am praying while I am working and hoping. During the process I feel so weak and when things go right I feel like a giant...LOL the emotions are horrible...Hay

Richmond, TX

What a success! You are a very gentle giant indeed.

Gridley, IL

OMG!!! they are so darn cute! i cant hadly wait! my il seramas will hopefully hatch around the 26th that is day 19.It looks like a lil less then 1/2 of my serama eggs are making it lets hope i can get them thru hatching!I just want lil seramas to hold and cuddle!I am truly a serama addict already and i havent even gotten my 1st one.I love to see the baby pictures.Keep them comming it helps me to keep calm while im waiting to hold my own.

(Zone 5b)

Just don't know how you managed to do it! I would have been crying all over the chick and drowning the poor thing. Your a good momma, Hay, good momma!! You should feel good about it, look how great that chickie is doing, all because of you.

I can't believe how much I love these chicks! All I do is watch them, my face is peeling from the heat lamp LOL. When I walk in the room and they run to the side of the box to greet me I just melt! Everyone of them has a different personality.

Ferndale, WA

SheWolfie and Annie: The two of you are cracking me up. I learned a lot from ZZ's and Catscan, I was pretty timid about helping them out but after good friends share their stories, and you have no where to go physically for help, you quickly become much more capable than what you imagined. No one who really loves these birds sits by idly and lets them die. It will be fun to watch both of you grow right into midwives...LOL. Having support is huge, Claire Moxson is another one, she has so much to offer and she is so willing to help anyone. Whats so cool is all the newbie hatchers that will be now developing those motherly skills as well. Maybe we should change the name to Dave's Hatchery...LOL. Hay

Got my order of babies from Cackle hatchery today, 6 a.m. sharp. This is one of the best looking bunch, I have gotten in several years. They are so lively, and not one was weakly or sickly looking. I didn't even get a chance to intro them to water. They (Sixty) come out of their box like a sling shot, headed directly for the water and feeders. At eight a.m, a gentleman showed up and twelve of them went home with him. This guy was young, about 28-30 and about six three. He reached in the brooder and picked one up and held it to his face, and just smiled. He looked at me and said I love these little girls. It was fun for me to see this young big straping lad who wasn't afraid to show his tenderness towards these little chicks. I sure made me smile. I didn't bother with pic's, there have been so many on lately. I was really happy that they were all so healthy looking. Hay. I forgot, half were australorps, the other half were cherry eggers. A first time for me with cherry eggers.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

If I ever even consider a relationship again, that is #1 requirement.. showing tenderness towards my chickz!!!

Love it Haystack!

There is no excuse for not posting pics.. Hello? We can never get enough.. Nice try..

Ferndale, WA

I'll check and see if this guy was married, I have his phone #. You could call him and tell him he left one chicky behind. Comon, OK want me to do it for you. I will you know...Gosh Zzzzzzz's I'm so glad your back.

Lodi, United States

ZZ and I watched a show on public TV last night called "The Natural History of the Chicken". All sorts of people and their relationships with chickens.

Conclusion: There is nothing sexier than a man who loves his chickens.....

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Hello... Uh yep Catsy!! You got it! We concluded that is a requirement from now on..

He may be perfect Haystack, but I don't date younger guyz.. no way.. enough of that subject, let's get back to something more interesting like chickens! LOL

Ferndale, WA

OK ZZ's!!!whatever... The blacks are australorps, the brownish red, which I think are a very pretty chicken are cherry eggers. Also Dot, Joyce, and Cocoa in their new home. I had to remove Murphy again and put her in with Booker, she loves Booker but it's a war between her and Dot. They just hate each other. They go crazy together.

Cherry Eggers! How cute! Are they all pullets? My roo indicator is buzzing.. LOL Might just be an electrical issue.. LOL

Ferndale, WA

These are my six week old seramas and there all sold, I don't know if you can see it ZZ's but there is a roo in here that is identical to Booker, and one that is just like Dot. I really had a hard time letting them go.

Thumbnail by Haystack
Ferndale, WA

They are all pullets, turn the roo thing off right now...LOL.

I would love to keep Murphy and Dot together but is incredible how he attacks her and she is terrified of him, He is much nicer to Booker than he is to Murphy. I wanna smack him but I can't he's just to, well he is anyway.
.

Lodi, United States

Oh No, Hay! How terrible for Murphy....I'll be glad to take Dot off your hands.....:0)

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL You read my mind Catsy!

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)

Ok question here, what is a Cherry Egger??
Oh and Haystack, I am looking for a man that is a tad bit older, Loves Kids, chickens and Horses and ducks and geese, dogs and cats Oh and must be able to ride horses Thats a must.....

Richmond, TX

Too bad, I think Haystack is already taken.

Kingman, AZ(Zone 7a)
