Lovely flowers everyone! Congrats on your multiflora Lin! That was the hoya that hooked me, and I already had five or six at the time - the flowers took my breath away.
When I got my cutting of H. vanatuensis it had a big fat umbel on it that opened shortly after but I never got a picture of it for some reason. I think it was two years ago. So, I'm counting this as its first flowers. And if you look close you can see more buds starting on the peduncle. Have I mentioned recently how much I love hoyas?

June Blooms
What a great photo of all those blooms in the water!
Joni...great shot. I have never seen a bloom on E. cv. Monette THAT dark...beautiful!!!
Joni...have you sent a copy of that to Ted? I think it is fascinating how colors change. I will send a copy to Ed.
Oh Ric, that is a pretty bloom! I'd love to see a photo of the whole plant. Does cv. minibelle have tiny foliage?
Thanks Lin,
I will take a pic tomorrow.
Ric
Look forward to it!
Ric, that plant is wonderful! I guess I thought the foliage would be tiny because of the minibelle name. What is it a cross of? I like the looks of those leaves and the pretty blooms. Thanks for sharing those photo's!
Lin,
I'm pretty sure its a carnosa x shepherdii. Not sure why the name minibelle, one would expect it to be either tiny flowers or leaves, but not in this case.

Well, it sure was a good cross, it's a lovely plant!
Minibelle had something to do with the name of the wife of the man who made the cross, as I remember.
Oh, that's cute! Maybe his wife was petite and her name was Belle? Sounds like a southern thing!
