Here's how my daughter (kitty) enjoyed Chelsea:

Looks like she's bearing up well. ;)

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Wow Laura, what a little cutie!! I love the whiskers! :) LOL She's getting big. She's growing up on us.. How is that cute Garden Boy of yours? :) How many more pictures do you have for us? You should start a Chelsea Flower Show thread! :) Yeah, I'd like that.

Chicago, IL(Zone 5b)

Don't have that many more DG-worthy pix. Focused on the lilies because I really was thinking about how you all would have loved it.

The Garden Boy is good. He made sure I got to see plenty of gardens so he could go fishing without guilt. Certainly hope I have good lily pix of my own this year. Some clumps are looking good and filling out, but elsewhere I have lots of no-shows. The little bed we raised a few years ago and devoted entirely to lilies, seems to be a complete bust. Only a smattering have showed up there this spring. Maybe it's the soggy weather we've had. Even the lilies that have shot up don't seem to be setting as many buds as they should. And some of my martagons look good and sturdy, but the rest are short and weedy looking.

Love our little garden - love that we have a garden at all, here in the city -- but am tired of having to plant everything up against fences and so having to stake all the lilies, even some of the asiatics. Wish we had room to stretch. In short, England gave me a serious inferiority complex. But then, it's how I usually feel after looking at most of the pictures in this forum.

here is FFO on Bonbini. See how poor the marking? I took pic today but flower looked exactly the same yesterday.

As I had hoped, 2nd bloom is better. This looks more like the catalogs, no?

Deep dark red lilium? Remember this one I posted last year? 'Arabian Red' I think it was labeled. I planted this while in bloom last year. I'm eagerly waiting for it to return, or has it done the disappearance act this year. Its fragrant was out of this world as well, more so than my Stargazers.

lily, mine has not come back and I have definitely been looking for it.

Vossner, ooooh noooooh. It gonna hurt me if I don't get that red lily back. It's time for me to go and look at the same nursery where I got that one from last year. lol.

JanetS those are so lovely. I've 'Black Beauty' which is more recurve than yours. It's a late bloomer (waiting to bloom about the same time as Casa Blanca, each year).

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

These may be Manhattan, not sure or it could be Red Planet...lol

Janet, those are so beautiful!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Post #6637185 looks like 'Kiss Me Kate' and 'Angelique' doesn't look like PF's 'Angelique" http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/170474/
....could it be something else?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

BTW, that 'Black Out' is stunning!!!!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

yes it could certainly be something else...I have Angelique on a marker out in that area, but it would be one that has not bloomed yet...I have lots in the same bed...so I will see what other marker is close by...lol

This one is just huge...I don't have it's name either...but it is very tall and very large flowers...it is breathtaking!!

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Here is a yellow that appears to be like the orange one, but it did not get as tall. I had deer or rabbits eat all but this bloom and the entire top out of one that was very tall like the orange one...
I believe this one is
Asiatic (L.A.) Hybrid Lily 'Graffiti'

I edited the pink one...I think it may be Rosanda...that is the other marker closest to them...jeesssh too many pinks in my garden...if that is possible!

Thanks Vossner....I am enjoying the few the deer and rabbits did not eat this year. They took out about 60 of mine AGAIN....I can't keep ahead of the critters here!

These are in a pot on my porch and they are small flowered but the color is just amazing! Again, I have GOT to find my list!!

Steve one last question about potting lilies for summer. Do you plant one bulb per pot or can I use a larger pot and put all five in there? Just got notice that B&B has shipped my loot, woohoo!

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

Vossner, that 2nd bloom on Bonbini is beautiful. I like that red too.

Janet, lovely blooms. Keep the pictures coming.

Braselton, GA(Zone 7b)

Thanks, I am feeling very remiss about the names...lol I just had a bad year last year and didn't everything done the way I wanted.

Here is another pink...I know it has a marker so I will check and see the name and edit to post the name later.

Gemini_sage,
Kushi Maya is still very limited in numbers. But Mr. Hyde purchased exclusive rights to this plant. I am aware of only two bulbs that are currently in the US and hopefully will be bloomed for the 2009 NALS convention later this month. I couldn't even get one! There may be a couple available next year, but unlikely as the price wholesale is about $50 a piece! LOL However, they will be coming in future years! I promise you! Price is the question mark. This lily is propagation prohibited.
I also know of only four bulbs of Candy Floss in the US. I have one of them! . I have inquired as to the identity of the beautiful dark read.... I am not sure...

Nery - here's your Bonbini and the photo we all went by when we ordered.

The difference can be related to temperatures, soil conditions, shade or lack thereof, and maturity. Still pretty

Lisbon, IA(Zone 5a)

Man, peony season is just underway here and now you all have me wishing for my lilies to bloom sooner!! :) I still like those Bonbini's. The first year my Satisfaction bloomed it faded immediately, the second year it was deeper and darker and just what I expected. Give Bonbini a chance and see how it does next year, too. :)

Laura, I'll always look at pictures of your garden. :) It's always so relaxing. :)

Janet ~ this one is probably Kentucky or Tango Halloween (same thing) http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=6637304

You little porch pot is darling!

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

thanks, pirl. I'm hoping the markings become more pronounced. And yes, the heat here is enough to fade anybody and anything! lol

Plymouth, IN(Zone 5a)

Yay, finally! A lily bloom. :) It came with the house, so I don't know it's name. I've been having so much fun looking at everyone else's pictures.

Great pictures everyone, sure is nice to come home after work and relax looking at beautiful lilies.

Greenwood, IN(Zone 5b)

Beautiful lilies, Janet and Nery, and Janet welcome to the show! Nery, I love your Bonbini, and it looks just like the catalog.

On the bulbs, I plant up to five Asiatics if the bulbs are fairly small in a 12' pot. Only three of the African Queen trumpets would fit in such a pot, so oyu just have to use your judgement. Of course, I plan on transplanting mine into the ground during the fall.

Here is Amerian Dream, with American Spirit in the background.

Melanie, lovely yellow!! So warm and happy.

Oh Steve, your lilies are wonderful! :) I like those American series. However, my American Spirit isn't coming this year. I might have to dig down and see if it's pouting or mia.

I need more lily pictures!!! Please!! :)
