Carrie, I just saw it was your birthday, and I hope you find something wonderful to do today, and everyday forward. No weeds, deep ruts, or sour notes and lots of tomatoes! I took pictures yesterday of many still happy narcissus in our Garden. DH sends B-day greetings, too. The lilacs are still blooming here too. Patti
Happy birthday Carrie
Now Michaela, is that a Lily? I guess I better plant those roots I got, or are they tubers, bulbs or rhizomes?
Thank you both!
oooo, pretty!!
What is that?
That is an Adenium obesum - desert rose .... not sure which one, exactly, though.
It looks different from mine...yours has leaves!! LOL mine always blooms at the ends of bare branches...
Thank you, folks, what pretty stuff!
Thank you Victor, I am!
Oh, Audrey, that's my FAVORITE, FAVORITE color!
Just looked at the birthday list today and noticed it was yours, so I went to NE and there it was, just waiting for me to say
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I had a lovely day, teaching my daughters how to make walnut torte (my favorite gluten-free cake) and playing outside a little bit, then going to my mother's WITH said walnut torte for dinner -- her birthday was yesterday!
That little flower - I can't remember what it's called if it's from this year!? It's pretty, and a great color. Thank you, Celeste.
All my favorite colors, on one thread! Thank you for that gorgeous rose, it's another of my favorite colors!

Its an Aster Carrie, and yes blooming now cos I bought it that way. lol
No wonder! That was my first thought, and if it were me posting it would be an old picture.
Did you say you got INSIDE the bonsai house?
um, no. But thanks to the skinniness of modern digital cameras, it and my arm fit through the screen and I could get a close up of the tree. Sometimes the bonsai curator is there working on them in the spring and summer. If he is, then the house is open and you can go inside. They have also been to the New England Spring Flower Show a number of times where I have also been able to get up closer than the outside of the bonsai gazebo.j
Martha
I get it, Martha, and thank you for those purty flowers which I cannot remember the name of! I winter sowed some this year, and I keep trying to say "we should plant those ___ out today, you know, the ones with the spiky flowers and the palm-leaf leaves, the ____" but I can't get the name to come out of my mouth (or my brain, if any, lol)!! Whatever they are, they are luvly.....
lupines
martha
Phew! What pretty LUPINES.
just saw this - hope you had a great day carrie!!
I did, thanks, Bill!
Oh, thank you and thank Wallingford et al. for me, too, please.
O I missed it! Happy belated B-Day Carrie ^_^
It still lasts ... happy happy happy.
Carrie, glad you are still happy. I am in Brooklyn to hear my GodD. sing in the Brooklyn Youth Choir concert tonight. She is nine and is in the Junior concert group having moved up after tryouts last fall from the preparatory choir. She loves it so much. I will get to hear the older choir too. Heading back in the morning, to hopefully some warmer weather. My tomatoes are not so happy. Patti
