Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

That's great wha! I think 50% of production would be fair ^_^

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Are you telling me you were taken in by the small stuff????

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Ahhhh good trade off.

Huron, OH(Zone 5b)

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

How many hours of full sun do you get there Allison? I just calculated for my sunniest spot, where I'm putting in my veggie bed: only 8 hours.

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

doing a slow burn here....slugs were victorious over the seedlings. But for some reason, they left all the hot peppers alone! Geez, now I can either start over with seeds, or, buy at the box stores.
I swear the slugs know how to high-jump over the bait.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

There be toms ^_^

Yupper GH for toms and basils. And maybe someday artichokes sigh.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Finally got my veggies in the bed today!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Guilt?

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

My wife approved.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

I have some cherry toms that look like they are starting to turn. And dare I say it... a couple of zucchini. Now you may be laughing, but I have had horrible success the last 2 years. So, this year I planted them aplenty. Now, watch, I'll have a bazillion!! I winter-sowed the zucchinis.

Good for you, Victor.

The crazy ole cat says "Paw paw back at ya".

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

the sun will start to hit that spot where the cans & boxes are around 10 or so... and not stop until sundown... that slope is the only good sunny spot I have... too bad it's not flat for a veggie garden... and full of old tree roots.... going to take a long long time before those are gone....we were going to put a raised bed in the flat spot next to the house.. but with the self watering baskets we made... I didn't think it was necessary

S of Lake Ontario, NY(Zone 6a)

heehee Victor

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

dnut tfruit already! - do you remove the first set of flower buds? i read somewhere that removing the first set makes the plant stronger - i did it this year - although with 50 plants setting flower buds at different times i propably hit a few twice - no more.

My older friend told me that when I got started.

Thomaston, CT

Nothing edible yet, but the pole beans are acting like the magic beans in Jack & the Beanstalk---tails are already up over the support I gave them---guess I'll give them more!
