A little help pls. Can't find an old thread...

Hi, all,

I am looking for an old thread that I started on DG about the "Red Admiral" butterfly and its "host plants".

I can't get the search engine on DG to come up with it, BUT I can get Google to find it but it shows up on 'Gardens.com' here:

http://www.gardens.com/forums/t/846582/

And I don't believe I ever posted on Gardens.com or even know what it is...

Can anyone help me find this thread here on DG? ( I want to make a tag for it for my journal.)

Thanks so much. t.

If you started the thread, you can go to your member page and follow the link "view threads that tabasco has started", this will pull up the list of any threads you've started. If you remember what forum it was in you can further narrow the results to a particular forum.

Gardens.com was/is? something that Dave had going for a while--I think it was mostly the beginner garden forums that were over there, but it was basically a mirror site where things that were posted there would also show up normally on DG so you could look at them in either place. So that means your thread is here, and I'm sure you'll find it on your list of threads (although if you start a lot of threads you may have to wade through a number of pages to find it)

Tabasco: Gardens.Com is part of the Dave's Garden group and I think some posts we make on DG come up on Gardens.Com site also. If you look at the bottom of the screen (way down at the very bottom) you will see an icon for Gardens.Com and Bloom.Com, as well as the Name Media logo who I think owns all of the DG group.

Thanks!!! echoes! I have been trying to find that darn thing and just couldn't find it in my list of threads I started or by using Google.

How did you find it (if you don't mind telling me). Did you search through all of my threads (that even I didn't have the patience to do!)? Just wondering...

And thanks to all of you for your kind help. I did figure out that Gardens.com had something to do with Dave's. But I couldn't really figure out what the point of it was and I thought it was weird that Google brought up my thread there but not on the real DG.

And MaVie, thanks for the FLA butterfly info link. It had a photo of the Wood Nettle that is the most popular host plant for Red Adm. up north (so they say), so that was a help to me too.

Happy gardening. t.

it is always a pleasure to help. :D.

to find ur own thread, click on "My Info". if list large, narrow it down to the forum u are interested in similar to this http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/threads.php?user=tabasco&limit=bbb&submit=submit

You're very welcome. Yes, I did as MaVieRose suggested. Clicked on your name to your page and to the threads you have started. Searched just the Hummingbird and Butterfly Gardens forum, because I thought that's where it would be.
