Wonderful blooms, gardenpom!!!

This one looks like a Purple Flaked I. purpurea bloom to me. Perhaps a volunteer from the recent grow-out? http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6718335

Interesting that your Blue Split Personality is pink! LOL! Nice anyway despite the mix-up in color!

oh yes, when i received the seeds from Emma it was labelled shibori flaked. I grew some over the winter, but our winters up here are too dark (not enough natural light during the winter to overwinter mgs...i learned that the hard way -_-). I was wondering whether or not it was nil or purpurea, but we know it's definitely purpurea =). I have not seen the flaked types around toronto, and thompson and morgan seed company just started to sell them this year. I'm glad to see a different type of purprea around here, because most of what's around here are usually blues and the pinks.

Becky, these are your seeds, "Blue Needle Leaf Nanding" as labeled on the ziplock that you have stored them in.

Possible sibling of a plant carrying for dragon-claw leaves, holding water after a mild shower. Leaves are cordate, somewhat elongated than normal though

Dragon claw leaves. I think the form is kinda awkward, don't know if I should stalk and let it hang down

my attempt at a close up shot of the same plant.

very slow growing plant. I've sowed these mutant mgs since february, but then again, it might be just the weather up here in Canada

Glad to see the BNLN seeds are performing well for you so far. I can't wait to see the blooms. It could be a cross. The leaves look different to me.

The mutant (dragon claw) are a weird vine. I have grown them too and my opinion of them is still on the fence. I am not sure if I really like them or not. The blooms are sweet though and it is an interesting species of MG.

I had a very large vine with what looked like a strain of the dragon leaf gene it it. Smaller blue flowers with white throats. It has bloomed profusely for me. But it might have been a cross and that is why it grew so huge. The name was "Kawaru" on the seed baggie. It had those curled leave tips, but not as curly as the dragon claw. In this photo you can see on the solid green leaves the curling effect. The blue blooms are from that vine also. The lighter variegated leaves belong to a different vine.

Nice healthy and happy looking plants, Eliz and gardenpom!

Thanks everybody! Each plant will have one bloom, but once they get started each plant will have more blooms..but most of the mgs that are blooming for me right now are mostly purpureas.

Here is Jamie Lynn from Emma's seeds

I was hoping to see a white coloured corolla with a pink throat but I fell inlove with this when I saw the flurescent throat colouring and the streaks of blue on the corolla.

I might have shared some Heian no Kaori from Arlene's seeds, and this is how they have turned out: Might have been a cross, I can see some white rays on the corolla forming and the leaves are of orthodox shape with variegation.

Fujikiresaki leaf...my first seedling got eaten by my dog (I thought I had placed the pot where they could not reach, but unfortunately they were able to reach it and have a snack). Different type of leaves

Blown leaf jmg, very fragile and gets sunburnt

Another type of jmg, but not with blown leaf. These seeds came in a packet labeled "yellow leaf, marginated blooms" which look like Xiong's
