Way too much contrast in this, but it gives a good idea of the form Tamuke yama has taken on.
Garden Photos of '09.... #19
Wow, you're all so fast! Nice pics.
Thanks, Shelley, Karen, and Victor. I got lucky on the N. Geranium shot. I never retouch my photos but that one looks like I edited it in Photoshop.
Allison, I'll take another shot when Gibraltar opens all the way. So far the color looks very rich. I've wanted to get an orange Azalea for a few years now. So far so good.
Intermediate Bearded Iris 'Intermediary'
Hey Miles, the chocolate mint is great in cookies. Add 2 tbls to any sugar cookie recipe.
nice shot of tamuki - mine is from lj so it is small - good shape though
dayne i planted almost all my lazy s order today - 8 vibs and a couple duetzia, magician was one of them - they are babies
Thanks, Victor! Nice JM!
Gorgeous iris and great photo, Dyane!
Karen
thanks for the new thread man these move fast.
Like a freight train! I am so far behind. Loving seeing the iris starting to pop.
Victor, That photo of Enkianthus Showy Lantern is stunning, though I have never liked them in reality, except the pictures of the flowers. I need to take another look at them.
DyanesGarden, I want a Azalea 'Gilbraltar' and your shot of the allium draped with the caterpillar is amazing.
grampapa, nice to see you posting. Watch out for the fennel as it can take over the world. I love the bronze one, but had to banish it from my garden.
My helpers are madly mulching the gardens. I did major dead heading yesterday and took some snaps in one section of the garden which is now exploding. Very happy with another sunny, and calm day.
Here is Darmara peltata which has been fun to watch grow as I bought it after it had bloomed last year for the foliage and had no idea that it would put on a show.
Some little kids starting to bloom. We have a sea of sweet woodruff (Galium odoratum), now if I could get a sea of Anemone nemorosa vestal which is so lovely but very slow spreading. The Aquilegia Spring Magic Blue is a favorite, but it popped up in a bed that I don't remember planting it in. I hope it is naturalizing. Patti
This is a jumble of leaf shapes and color with a primula 'Gold Lace' being dwarfed, but it is on the path side so it will be OK. I may have to do some shuffling about with these others as the ligularia will get big. I divided some when I dug the stream in 2007 and they are all doing well this spring after sulking last spring. I love the purple leaf color in spring. Patti
DyanesGarden, stunning azaleas. Deer ate mine, so I moved them last fall, but so sad and I am not sure they will recover. My peony will be awhile away yet, but I planted many new ones last fall from a coop and they are coming along nicely. Patti
Gorgeous azalea shot , Dyane
Beautiful shot of the azaleas, Dyane!
I agree Dyane....just beautiful!! DH wants a row of those so I just showed him the picture.....I put a bib on him first.^_^
COOL cactus!! What one is it?
I have no idea!!
I think it might be some kind of Echinopsis, though, I really haven't a clue.
Anyone an expert on cacti???
I like the spider spines on it. If no one can ID it here, try the Cacus and Succulent Forum.
I have no idea what it is but it's scrumptious!!!!
