Lots of Lilies here in my garden, no blooms yet (pics)

I have a lot going on in my garden. The Azealeas just finished for the season and they were exceptionally nice this year. The roses are just getting started. Considering there are about 200 roses, the spring flush is truly wonderful. They they repeat off and on during the summer.

I have lots of daylilies and they usually start blooming after the asiatic lilies have bloomed.

Some of my lilies are showing buds, even ones that were new bulbs planted this spring. But the usual thing of many spring planted being short first year stems. Then who knows how many buds but I have so many bulbs that I should have a good show no matter what.

What a wonderful garden Rita. We did have a nice wet early spring...now I wish the warmer weather would kick in. Are you Nassau or Suffolk? I'm Suffolk.

Rita, your time will come soon enough! Even without lily blooms your garden is very pretty.

Thanks! :-)) I do really enjoy my garden.

Its been an usually cold spring for us this year. Now the roses are starting to bloom so that will keep me going until its time for the lily blooms. What with all the ones I planted late this year (some of which have barely sprouted or not yet sprouted) I figgure my lily blooms will be at all sorts of odd times.

Gorgeous gardens, Rita! I , too, love lilies and had a bout of lilymania this year. It was the OT's this year...Silk Road and Schezerade....so we shall see how they do. Some pink and yellow 4 ft Asiatics are blooming for a week now. What fun it will be to see all your lilies in bloom. Where did you purchase them?

This year I bought lilies from -
Van Bourgondien Wholesale
WoodenShoe
Brent and Beckys
B&D
The Lily Garden

Plan on buying some more lilies for fall planting from BuggyCrazy.

I'm afraid I have the lily crazies really bad this year. Started afew years ago, got bad last year but totally out of control this year. And I know that once they all start to bloom, it will only feed my lily mania and make the lily crazies worse by wanting more, more, more.

How did you like dealing with the lily garden? Got the biggest bulbs from Hallsons.

Forget e-mailing and asking a question. I just filled out the order form and faxed it to them. Slightly over a week later my bulbs showed up. Great looking bulbs and very generous with the extras. I don't get extras from anyone else I ordered from, only The Lily Garden.

Its in the front yard but none of the ones around it are ready to open. It actually is not totally open even though I waited all day.
