Great painting your you dog, Robin! Sorry for your loss of your Molly, Louise, I know that's hard. I will have to deal with that with my Patches someday. I can't imagine not having her around. Here is my sweetie.

She's a doll---looks so much like my pointer cross, Suey.

Thanks, Robin!

oh Celeste those bunnies are adorable!!! I have serious problems getting attached to animals also... I am worried about Lilly... she is peeing in her bed now... it seems she forgot how to ask to go pee... so sad... but she still eating and getting happy when she sees me... I am thinking of putting a tv upstairs so I can spend time with her since she refuses to be downstairs with me... not so easy...

Lilly is a shih-tzu also... I love them... but I don't want another dog... I will cry too much!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Kassia---I lost Phoebe close to 2 years ago now, and I felt the same way. Now I am ready for another shih tzu--just don't happen to have the resources to act on that wish at the moment. As long as she is happy, and not in pain, enjoy her...you will both know when it is time. Try to remember dogs perceive their existance differently than we do--they accept whatever comes their way--one day at a time--they do not worry about tomorrow---embrace today with Lily ^_^

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Karen - thank you. Patches is beautiful - love the red kerchief with that black and white! I hope you have her around for many years!

Kassia - I'm sorry about Lilly's aging. Phoebe is right .....enjoy her as long as you can. If she is happy to see you, that's what really counts!

Oh my goodness! How cute!!!!!!!!!!!

Our newest resident who has joined the bunnies under our porch.

It must of blew out of the tree in the wind storm we had....not sure if it will make it. The bunnies are not warming up to it but it keeps following the bunnies around.

Can't tell them apart anyways. lol

We've done well.haven't lost one yet. Every day they survive and get bigger gives them a better chance out there.

I did have to scold them about munching on my phlox. I realize there are a few weeds in there but I"LL GET THEM thank you!

LOL! The phlox are probably dessert! So far, Columbus isn't into dandelions?!!!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

I have 2 that love them and one who particularly likes Euphorbia , we've had a talk twice.

AWWWW! My favorite one...praying I will adopt him! 'I'm coming for you honey! " LOL!

Was thinking about the bird--He's pretty far along---perhaps with just a little TLC...Celeste? Perhaps a Wildlife sanctuary or the Maine Audubon Society could give you some info? And if a bunny becomes its BFF--that's the newest you tube sensation! LOL!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Well I know not to touch it or Momma will never come back. I gave it water last night by dropper, today it hopped over to the lilac tree. When I went out momma was there so I left it alone!!!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

If Momma is there--it will be ok ^_^

Thomaston, CT

Those photos, Pixie, are wonderful! Allspice is a doll---the bird was smart to hang out with them---protection in numbers----no cats about, are there? Our Squeaky was a hunter, but Pip, the half Maine Coon, jumped if he saw a cricket.

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Phoebes and Louise - that's all I am doing... I keep thinking that Lilly is such a blessing to me ... she drives me nuts somedays... but she is so entretaining... and bossy... lol...

oh Celeste they are so adorable... have that pic (praying) enlarged and hang it... sooo cute...

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Phoebe - that shot of Columbus is just adorable!! It so reminds me of Molly cuddling her stuffed animal, Buddy, on our trips.

Pixie - I love that "Bunny Praying" pic too. I hope the baby bird makes it!!! The frost is coming. Oh, Nooooooo!!

Kassia - Bossy Lilly, LOL!!!

Framingham, MA(Zone 6a)

Louise, believe me blind or not Lilly still very bossy... when she used to sleep with me, she would cry and want to go to bed ... and she would pest me until I took her to bed... but I had to be there also so could press her butt against me... she would do her little dance, and try to push the laptop out of my lap every night... yeah, she is bossy!

Thomaston, CT

So is my Suey---guess it's a female thing!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Same with Phoebe--LOL!

Hahahaha!

I have no idea how to tell all of you this........4 of the babies have died and I am inadvertantly to blame.
DH & I went into town and I left the 2 labs in the pen. Terra, the youngest one dug her way out under the fence and proceeded to chase the babies. 5 of them ran into a piece of PVC pipe and 4 of them suffocated, the other 4 seem to be fine. Brian happened to see Alspice come out of the pipe so he looked and thats when he found them.
I'm having a hard time to deal with the guilt of this, I never leave my dogs alone. NEVER.
I may not post for a few days, im just trying to process this and heal. Please forgive me.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Oh no. Please don't blame yourself, Celeste. It could have happened in any number of ways.

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Awww--oh no! I'm so sorry! It was not intentional--you do not have the power to predict such things! There is no way you can blame yourself! NO WAY!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Pixie please I don't think you should hold yourself responsible for dogs being dogs and bunnies being bunnies. All things happen for a reason. {{{{{{{{ Pixie and Brian }}}}}}}}

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Very well said dnut!!!! That is exactly right.

Thomaston, CT

Absolutely---the lab was doing his thing---can't blame him, or yourself---a hawk or other predator could have gotten them---and Allspice is well.

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

Oh bless your heart. What a traumatic thing to happen. I am so sorry.
Hugs,
Susan
