Good to know about Minnesota. Are they also to blame for weeds?
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Totally, totally kiddin about the weeds MNers but you knew that didn't ya ^_^ Hello MNers? Hello? Wait. What's that noise? Whose that lurking on my stoop? uh oh :O
Oh no!!!! We lost dnut!!!! :-o
^_^
It's all good ^_^ With the help of my trusty atlas I sent them to Victor's ^_^
I'll keep an eye out.
Please keep those bunnies away from predators! They can catch a 'wild' bunny---these cuties are half tame.
Don't lose it, Victor, your eye, I mean....while it's out.
Love the bunny pictures, Celeste. Wish I lived closer.
Victor -
I think you need to go up to Maine and pick up that blonde. Then we can have dueling pictures of you and Brian with bunnies on your lap.
As much as I like Brian, I would rather duel with Hef for lap bunnies.^_^
VICTOR!!
Awwww, Celeste, I just had to check in on your bunnies first thing, and oh my....they are cuter than ever!!!! I'm holding my breath every time I fall in love with these little babies. So, I'm back! I'm back!!! Overwhelmed here a bit by all that needs to be cleaned and repaired, etc., but I'll be checking in again soon. Thanks for all those adorable photos!!!
glad you made it back safely....
Hi Louise! Nice to have you back in New England and glad you had a safe trip home.
Wanna bunny? lol
Thanks, Barb!! Hope we can meet up at some point this summer!!
Pixie - funny you mention that.....today as I was raking out the leaves from my Pixie Garden of daylilies, I was pondering whether one of your bunnies would make a good snowbird pet. Couldn't they just travel in a cage in the car? LOL......Probably not a good idea. It was hard enough with Molly because we never knew if the weather would be too warm for her to stay in the car while we went into restaurants, etc. I can't tell you emotional it has been coming back here and finding her things everywhere. I had no idea we'd have to start the grief from the beginning again. That really took me by surprise.
Not sure a Maine bunny could handle Florida weather. lol
I'm sorry it's been so hard, I suspect those wounds are still fresh but your memories will again make you smile. I look out at my pine tree and think of Bandit all the time, but now I smile. It's a bittersweet smile of missing him and the joy of truely believing I will see him again someday. Oh and the 1st snow fall always brings a lump to my throat....he rejoiced in it every year like a little kid!
He's been gone 9 years, so don't be to hard on yourself. ^_^
It will take time, Louise.
Very cute bunnies!! And, also,
Victor!!
I'm sure you're both right........and I know just what you mean, Celeste. I still have those pangs about our other boy dogs who were Molly's "brothers" and protectors. Molly was always hanging out on Cuppatea's porch when I gardened, so that's what has made it difficult. But on a happy note - "Tess", my tree swallow, is back in her box in my veggie garden. I will work on getting her to feel comfortable with me by talking with her as I plant the garden. Usually, in years past, I have eventually been able to walk up to within a foot of the box with her peeking out at me, unafraid. They are very beautiful, sociable birds.
You're lucky to have a tree swallow, Louise----they eat plenty of insects, & are so irridescent. I know it's tough without Molly---but as Pixie said you do remember them with both a smile & a lump in your throat.
True, Robin. So many of us have had this same pain and lived through it, so I know it will get better in time. It always does, and it is just part of having fur babies.
What Victor, Celeste and Robin said....lt takes time. It's been almost 2 years since I lost Phoebe---I've learned to embrace the good memories, and I too know we will meet again. In the meantime, I know she is somewhere....chasing squirrels. It has gotten better with time.
Can you tell us what Phoebe was? Cat? Dog? And I know they will be with us at the end!
She was my shih tzu dog--I picked her out when she was 3 weeks old and brought her home at 8 weeks. She died unexpectedly at 12 yo. I really really really miss her--sniff...
I know what you mean...Tia is 12, a black lab that I watched be born. She & I are very close, she's my gardening dog. I garden and she protects me while I do. Just ask the Fox who tried sneaking up on me!!!
Shih tzus are lovely dogs---and labs are real people dogs----wish I could say that for my airedale!
What kind of dogs are Airedales? Aren't they supposed to be especially loyal?
He's VERY handsome!!! Great watercolor too!!!!!!!!!
I'll second that!
