Here's one last shot I have time to post today of one of the 4-inch pots of Foxglove.

With Summer Savory behind it and some more Swiss Chard - Bright Yellow - to the left

You can barely see the leeks behind the variegated jade, way in the back.

Thanks, Dahlia!!

Bill you sell and/or give to friends and family? I think I am getting freaked out. If I dont sell all the stuff I have grown - the question - WITH (figure that out) am I going to do.

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

WNYwillieB, I must get that benfica hippeastrum. Great color. You have been beyond busy. Impressive.

Robindog, the reason I thought the peony was a goner was that the trunk was totally broken off and lying in the dirt next to the blank spot until is sprouted. I will go to the peony forum. I have a herd coming up all over the garden from a coop that I joined last fall. I went a slight bit peony mad. What's new?

Rain has stopped, but too foggy to go out and shoot pictures. I will enjoy all of yours instead. Patti

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

No worries Sherri. I'm sure your luvly, healthy plants will get snapped up in a hearbeat.

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

Well, I was going to try and get rid of what ever family, friends and neighbors didn't want at our annual street sale, but they have decided they aren't going to organize one this year.

Soooooo, I am hoping everyone will get greedy and clean me out! Otherwise I might be guerilla vegetable gardening what ever is left over in the fields behind the property.

I also know that there are vocational schools in the area that are doing some horticulture things, so I think I can give stuff to them and the local community gardens, if it comes to that.

I have been busy spying for areas that look like they need a tomato plant, or something!!

I haven't even TOUCHED anything from the perennial / annual side of things!!

Of course I have just as much (WAY too much) planted already, too.

Here is a shot of some Scabiosa and Lunaria, for example! Dozens of kinds of perennial and annuals started, too.

Thanks, Patti!!

If I get any good seeds, and they sprout, I am hoping they will be true to the parent, though, I think I have read that they tend not to sprout true from seeds, nor even from offset bulbs! But, I could be wrong about that!

I see that my A. Philadelphia is almost open ... will have to get a shot of that posted!

I was reading something about "TRUE" to the parents but it got so intense - I quit.

Good grief.... Half a day and I'm lost. What happened? it's a very pretty though.

Willie, everything that you have going on looks fantastic. Love the amaryllis.

Candyce.... those are nice sprays of tulips.

Stormy.... love the gold heart dicentra. It's definitely one of my favorites

Victor.... love the autumn moon. Those colors are great.

Meredith.... you garden is looking fantastic. Who says you need mulch when it's that pretty already!

Thanks Patti.... good luck with the tree peony. Hopefully it makes a nice comeback.

Robin and Phoebe.... that pink tree really is called a Toona tree! lol. It's real name up until just a couple of years ago was Toona Sinensis 'Flamingo.' a couple of years ago they changed it to Cedrella sinensis 'flamingo.' But, it's still stuck with the common name of Toona tree! lol You have to have the one that is labeled flamingo though, or else it's just a plain green tree.

RC - its raining in this part of the country and - well you know.

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

took me a minute. but... I got what you're getting at! yep, know about the rain. Been doing that for three days I think. But, right now it's rain and sun at the same time. Actually I don't mind that much about being out when it's raining and 60 deg. Raining and 35 or 40 deg. is what I don't like.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Rained here too today. This is my new Damien line of defense to protect the dwarf iris. First line of defense: grumpy bird. Second line of defense: plastic fencing weighed down by rocks. Third line of defense: really bad words. Damien is determined to take these to the dark side. Dug them up four times last season.

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

These tulips have been a joy for 6 years because they retain a nice clump shape. I just remove new ones from the outside and give them away. I will post details when they bloom.

My poor little 'Halo' Dogwood had so much winter damage ;( but he's coming back ^_^

Thumbnail by dahlianut
Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

They hang with me all summer onewish and they are very friendly except for the rosey finches which I only see in the spring who are very shy. The MayDay is the finch tree. It took me about 3 years to place the different feeders and strategize. Now all the birds have different trees and feeding spots that are their own. They share the baths. Hummers are breathtaking when they come through in the spring and the fall. Sometimes there are bird quabbles but not often. Not like the bee wars :O I stay inside when there is a bee/wasp war :O

southern willamette , OR(Zone 7a)

Very nice dahlia! I love pulmonaria. I sure hope that the 'halo' toughs it's way through it's winter funk and looks good again here soon!

Welcome, LDEV4! You will love DG!

Great photos, everyone!

Shelly, I will look forward to having you come visit here! That would be great fun to meet you. BTW, that purple rhody looks spectacular. Wowser!!!!!!

Stormyla, that pic of the tulips and lilies lined up like that looks like it could be used for that cell phone company that advertises more bars in more places. Is that Sprint? I can't remember.

Patti, I had one white azalea, and the deer decimated mine, too. It's still alive, so maybe I will keep it and cage if for the winter. They don't seem to care about it any other time.

Took me a long time to catch up tonight. I did want to share with everyone my pics that I took at Tower Hill Botanic Gardens on Sunday. We had a wonderful time and we got to see Boojum and her husband there, too. I haven't uploaded the pics of the primulas from the show yet. Takes so much time to upload all those pics! Anyhow, here is the link where you can view them at photobucket.com: http://s141.photobucket.com/albums/r76/patchesandpeachs/Tower%20Hill%20Botanic%20Gardens%20May%203%202009/
