Great pictures Syru and Sydney is a doll!!
Flowers OT
Nichole, Your garden looks great! And, Miss Syndey is a beautiful little flower herself! Does she like to help water? I remember when my nieces were young they always wanted to water the plants! I see those tomatoe flowers, so you ARE going to see little tomatoes before long! What's the name of the purple beans? They look yummy ... I might just have to try to grow some green beans or yellow beans!
Gail: Lovely Hoya bloom! I too am curious as to which one it is and I know some of the pro's over on the hoya forum will probably recognize it. I'll be watching for an ID!
My "maters" are ripening nicely on the plants I have growing in containers. I just planted some in the ground last week so it's going to be another month before I see any on those!
Thanks, guys! Yes, she does like to help water and dig!
The purple beans are Burpee Signature: Sequoia
Wonderful and fun pictures Syru and Lin. Hello back to Sydney!
I love Ixora, if there is EVER a pink one I will be happy. Same with Esparnaza!!!
Love your Hoya bloom, Gail.
I need to plant ixora............you are right , Sally. We need a pink to go with the orange and yellows...........They grow great down here, Lin.
I am going outside (it might rain.........hip hip hooray) and bring us out of this drought.........and my poor brown yard............and take a picture of her foliage so I can ask the hoya people.
I love pinks, blues and purples, especially in summer. It really makes the garden look cool. I love pink and orange together also. Really happy together. I have very little yellow if any in summer.

Both kids love the kitty!
Thank you, Lin! I sang it to her and she got a big grin on her face.
That is cute, Nichole..........singing for Lin to your little girl............
And I told her who it was from, too! AND the picture of the kitty! Russell made me point to where it said "phoebe" . . . It's harder to keep things from him now that he's starting to read.
oh wow, to cute, love the kitty tooo.
bonnie
Sally, are you sure you don't want to be a florist? REally nice arrangement!
Thank you very much!
It's beautiful Sally!!
We can always count on Sally in our club to enter all the design aspects of the show and sale. She wins, too!!!
Lovely arrangement displayed so well.
she is a doll but check out that handsome son of yours!!! The look on his face of pleasure is priceless!!
Gail, I only won for the terrarium! I messed up the rules on the design, got all mixed up. My first year and I hate to follow rules, so it is hard, ha!
Gail is the GROWER of the group!!!!
That bday picture is adorable!
She has the looks of an angel also. What a beauty!!!! You can see thru her eyes to her soul. Lou
She is a little doll, and Lou you express things so well.
Lynn
thanks and yes, Lou, what a nice thing to say. She is a little angel! I pray everyday for a safe, secure and good world for her to grow up in.
Amen!
what a great way to get them to eat their vegatables!
How cool! I forgot to ask if you grew them from seeds or were they baby plants? It's so great that you are getting your children interested in growing at such a young age!
I think the bean being purple may help a little, too! Can't wait for the yellow beans to turn yellow, plus the lima bean seedlings (or whatever kind they were!) that DS brought home from school. . . then there is the rainbow mix of bell peppers . . . I should have done this container gardening a long time ago!
Yes, Lin - we started everything from seeds (well, except for the mints & herbs - mommy didn't want to wait!).
LOL, that's me ... no patience to wait for seeds! I much prefer little plantlets so as to reap the benefits quicker!
DD told me this morning she wanted vegetables for breakfast!
HI everyone-- been staying busy trying to catch up on yard work after about 10" of rain and all the other assorted craziness in my life;) Just had to strop and post a pic of one of my favorite wildflowers--climbing milkweed--Matalea decipiens. This is growing in my black bed--either black flowers or foilage--with a little orange thrown in for grins.
