Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks, not everyones taste but I love sculpture with plants.

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

onewish, those of us with flat properties would just love to have a sloping rock garden or running stream!

Southeastern, NH(Zone 5b)

I was thinking the same thing! : )

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Me three!! ^_^

This is one of my favorite emerging plant photos. It's a siberian Iris, but I don't know it's name.

These are more of the same, but planted a year earlier.

Do the spears keep that purple color?

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

I would be happy to swap with any of you!

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

No, ge. By summer it's mostly gone, but I enjoy it while it's there.

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Here's another plant I was looking forward to emerging. It's a daylily, "Golden Zebra", new this past fall.

I was really busy at work this year & didn't get out into the gardens until the 1st week in April. This is what my roadside bed looked like then.

LOL, Yea, and I've been too busy this past week getting ready for Holly's swap to take photos. Now it's one big sea of green spent daff blooms and masses of daff, tulip & daylily foliage and encroaching grass to be pulled! Did manage to pull the Creeping Charlie away from the edges after work last night.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

wow love all the tulips Stormy.... that was a lot of work

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

I just love to see all the pics since not much is happening in my garden yet lots of green stuff and few tulips and daff hoping to see more in the coming weeks

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

scicciarella, That's one of the things that attracts me to the NE forum, aside from all of the fun folks. In Midatlantic, I'm the Canadian!!! Everybody in Maryland & virginia and even South Jersey are a month ahead of me and lots of the plants discussed won't work here.

Of course, I envy your Lupines, Delphiniums and Indian Paint Brush. Southeastern Pa. doesn't really fit exactly into either forum, but it does permit a large range of plant choices.

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Stormy those tulips are spectacular!!

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Alison & Pixie. Two years ago, that bed was planted with white and white & red striped tulips. There are actually a couple thousand daffs in there too, but the yellows were spent by the time the tulips opened and the whites are all shorter and don't show up in a long shot.

There was an explosion in the vole population here 2 summers ago and those suckers ate all of the tulips. These tulips are all planted in Permatil. They did eat most of my Iris that were planted between those trees this winter. I can't figure out how to protect the Iris from the voles. I have a whole lot of Iris out front that I'd like to move to this bed, but at least out front, so far the voles haven't found those ones.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that's terrible.... do those sonic things work?

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Not for me.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

that's too bad... seems like such an easy fix... until it doesn't work

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Allison, I know. RCN was all excited because she just bought 2 of them. Wish I knew, could have saved her the $. I trashed 4 of them.

GE, I too love to mix all sorts of objects in my beds. I went to an auction on Monday and found a couple of interesting ones. I've been moving these guys around here and there trying to find the best spot for them. I'm still undecided. Maybe I should elevate them on something. What do you think?

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

They are nice. They look like theyre talking about the garden maybe place them at the edge of the path where one could see what the conversation is about.

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

WELL... Stormy, what I think is that you should bring them here. ^_^
They are just great!!

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

GE, You are right. At the auction they kept calling to me, saying " take us to your garden"! I'll look for a really nice plant near the front of the border and point them toward it. They are about 18" tall.

Jan, they told me that they decided not to relocate to Jersey as they couldn't afford the taxes!

Salem Cnty, NJ(Zone 7b)

Stormy, ROTFLOL. I'm glad I didn't have any liquid in my mouth when I read that. Amen to the taxes! We would like to relocate as well, someday!!! Away from the I95 corridor.

Norristown, PA(Zone 6b)

Jan, I know all my Jersey friends are coming here or going over to Delaware. Glad you didn't turn into a living fountain!!

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Oh my gosh...too funny!!!!!!
