Skip to new not working with Firefox?

Dover AFB, DE(Zone 7a)

I changed my internet browser to Firefox and now "skip to new" only works occasionally and threads still say yes when I exit them. Do I have to have Internet Explorer to use this website?

I use Firefox, and I know a lot of other users do, too--and the skip-to-new works fine for me.

You may have something in your settings that is disrupting the skip-to-new feature. Perhaps we should move this to the computer talk forum for some peer-to-peer suggestions?

I'm so frustrated that I am about ready to go back to IE. Skip to new doesn't work, thread watcher dosent update when I click on a thread up there...
I'll try the computer forum, those guys looove Firefox and I'm sure that they will know the perfect way to workaround it's problems.

I'm on FF as well and have had none of those issues. It about has to be in the settings somewhere.

I've just asked over on the computer forum. I just hope that the workaround for Firefox's settings is easy enough for an unsophisticated person to do...
Thanks Y'all, wish me luck!

My skip to new sometimes takes me PAST the last post...down where reply is...and the Watched thread doesn't clear it's self out after I have looked at it...I have FF too. Jo

Make sure you aren't double clicking on the links when you open a thread. Every click in your web browser should be just one click (not a double click).

I only single click. I can't say why it only happens most of the time instead of all of the time..(skip to new trouble)

HMMMM do I usually click...or double click...I must pay attention to that! Thanks, Dave. Jo

make sure you allow the page to completely load before clicking on the Skip to new, it will actually shift to the left when all loaded. I know a few times I clicked too soon and it messed it up.

Ditto what Calif_Sue said. If you click on the link before it is done shifting to the left nothing will happen. The longer the thread, the more it will shift.
