Gift Subscriptions

There are several times I would love to give a gift subscription to a friend who is not currently a member of Dave's Garden. Is there a way of doing this? From what I can see, the recipient needs to be a member. This is a great gift and if there was some way you could send an Email advising the gift recipient of a membership with sign-up instructions, it would be really good! (if this is already in place and I'm missing it, please let me know!)

No, there's no way to do it now unless they're a member, so you'll have to talk them into signing up first, then you can buy them the subscription.

Kat...There is a way to do it. I just did it a couple months ago. If the person is not already a member, you have to know their email address and be willing (friendly enough with them) to assign them a DG user name. Not sure if they can change the name or not if they don't like it...probably not.

It's kinda confusing because you have to log in and back out and in again, but hopefully this is the correct link to find the answer and how to do it. I had to print out the directions, but it worked. They get an email telling them of the subscription.

It is under F.A.Q. at the top of your home page, under Can I buy A Subscription For Someone Else

Barbara is correct. You can sign someone up who is not a member to give them a gift subscription.

You will need to log out and sign up with their email address. Pick a username for them, but we'll happily make a change after they log in if they do not like it. (we offer this as a one time courtesy)
