Yes they are. Unfortunately, my pond is way to small for one of these beauties.

I once went on a pond walk and got to go to the home of the guy who owns Aquascape. They had lovely lotus too.

Happgarden - mine start to look a little ratty in August. Then by the end of October the leaves look like brown dead yuck. Next spring they come back up and the cycle starts over.

About how long do the seeds on a lotus take to dry once the petals have fallen off? A week, two weeks, a month? Just curious, as I have a bloom that lost its leaves a few days ago, and there appear to be seeds remaining that I'd like to collect.

I have this water lily someone gave me. Well I guess its a water lily im not sure. I never saw a lily like this one. Its the yellow one im talking about. It was blooming yesterday.
