There ya go! :-)
How are the wildflowers this year (Joshua Tree, Mojave)?
Oh yeah, critter, the swimming hole. Of course I'll tell you how to get there. The water is quite cold, but if you're tough enough to stand it for the first few minutes, it's exhilarating after that. The highs are supposed to be in the low 80s in Cottonwood next weekend and slightly less than that in O.C.Canyon.
Thanks, DP!
Great photos, DP. I've already seen a red racer during our heat spell. I usually carry a water pistol or supersoaker to encourage the scaley ones to leave my path. I'll have to scan in the photo I took of the Mojave Green Rattler that caused me to teleport back into the car. I grabbed the camera from the dash and took the photo from the safety of my jeep. LOL!
I want to go to Oak Canyon! Maybe in July if we can squeeze it into our trip to OK.
Loved your Jeeps wcgypsy. Loved all three of mine to no end. Miss the Jeep Wagoneer the most. Never got to say good bye to her. Then my beautiful red war pony. Now I got my Pearled Lighting. She is a Ninja jeep. LOL!
Once I got stopped at the airport because I had a big bag of rocks that set off the metal detector. It cracked everyone up.
Mail the laundry, check the rocks! LOL!
Sounds like you are going to have a fun trip, Critter.
You too DP.
WIB,
SW
We had a Jeep Wagoneer too SW!
If anybody else decides to head up toward Cedar Creek Canyon next weekend, drop a Dmail to DP or to me...
I'm glad I started this thread... maybe I'm too late for desert wildflowers this year, but I found out lots of other cool stuff!
I know Marie Ortiz lives down in Tolleson. That's only a couple of hours away.
I love the idea of you guys meeting up somewhere. DH was just looking at the pictures and we agreed it's just as we remember. We did an overnight river rafting trip some years ago. Now THAT was a hoot. :-)
