Fun Random Article feature?

There are almost 2000 articles now. Wouldn't it be cool to have a Fun Random Article feature that changed every 10 minutes like the birds and bugs and plants?
We might even see one we missed!!

What do you all think?

I think it's a great idea! I know I'm disappointed when the article of the day isn't a subject of interest to me and I have to wait to see what tomorrow's will be. Not sure every 10 minutes, but a change throughout the day would be great!...I like the random factor because as you said, we're sure to see ones we missed.

I like the idea too--always nice to bring new attention to an older article that a lot of people may have missed the first time around.

Hmmm... Now could you program an automatic monitor extension? Mine is too small to show all of the cool stuff on my home page! Just another 5 inches or so would probably do the trick...

Great idea, I like this! And the way the home page preferences are set up makes it easy to reconfigure, which is very nice too. As for the articles, I rarely explore in the previously published articles but whenever I do I find little gems, so this is lots of fun for me, having the random links show up.

Yeah, I moved stuff and it will do nicely. A bigger monitor would be even better, though! ^_^

I agree on the bigger monitor...I always have a hard time deciding which things I want near the top of the page where I will see them all the time.

I may be ready to announce my AMET (automatic monitor-extender tool) next April 1st. :-)

Thanks Dave ... I try to check out the articles every day and I tag the ones I want to keep for future reference. Sometimes I might miss one, so the "Random" Article feature is another chance to catch my eye and read/tag some I may have missed!

I'm kinda slow ... just noticed Kylaluaz's *snort* and had to go back to check out what I "missed", though the way my brain works, by next April 1st it would probably still be a "gotcha" for me!

Oh, I LOVE this feature! I can tell this is going to cause problems, though. Now, when no one is chatting away on my favorite forums, I sit and refresh my homepage until I find an intriguing title of an article I haven't read, instead of actually getting up and DOING something! LOL

One more reason to be addicted to DG. . .
