I must get a blue corydalis-such a great shade of blue. Pix, your primula is looking terrific.

Love the Tower Light Blue!!!! All of the blue fleurs!

I have this blooming today. Its a lot more vivid than what you see. I'm told its Nolana (Chilean Bellflower) - about 3inches high today... I have no idea what would be typical. New to me.

I love the blues! Pix that is a great primrose from Heidi. Steve love your delphs and Karen. She is a pretty blue.

Spanaway, WA(Zone 8a)

I'm surprised Salvia hasn't appeared in this thread...or maybe it has and I missed it! This one is incredibly blue and is called 'Kobalt'

I love the blue of Morning Glories, but the climbing kind just don't perform in our climate very well. A great alternative is this Convolvulus 'Ensign Blue'. Its an annual that puts on a great show.

Brunnera "Jack Frost"

OOPS! I see BeaHive already posted this. This is one of my GARDEN FAVORITES! It's like owning three different plants. Comes up sort of loose and wild looking... blooms beautiful sprays of blue flowers...then... the foliage takes off and end up large and stunning!

That the way to make a pansy statement! Beautiful. Do you know the name of the Rhody?

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

willow.. It is called Blue Diamond. Don't you think it is stunning?
Will have to keep an eye open at the nursery for that one!! It would look nice mingled between my white bleeding heart & jack frost.

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Thanks. That would be a great combo. We have a Rhodie nursery up here on Hood Canal in Brinnon that has just about every rhodie there is. Whitney's is the name of it.
I could find a spot for the Blue Diamond also. It a keeper.

Moscow, ID(Zone 5a)

Blue Baron is a nicely saturated blue-violet. It's a shorter more compact Rhody; good for small gardens.
Sorry - at 10:15 pm I cannot take a picture for you!

Had to add this one. The bluest of the blues. Gentian.

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

Pixy..that Gentian is so blue!! very nice!

Phoenix, AZ

I know neofarmer mentioned BBs but wanted to post my "blue " pic....

Thumbnail by Aguane

Aren't those nice! And I just love your sunshine! I am so jealous right about now when it comes to warm and sunny weather. I begin to understand why many people leave the great Northwest for your part of the country, Aguane. What is that plant behind the flowers? Looks like it is in the legume family?

Phoenix, AZ

Pixydish,
Thanks!
Its a Popcorn Acacia or Cassia Senna (I think). Not "blue" for sure.
Big clusters of 1 inch yellow flowers... turn to seed pods (now)
I grew 6 "trees" from seed from a friend. Mine are about 3-4 feet tall and just growing new limbs.
Apparently it grows to about 15 feet which is what I'm looking for...... grows a nice canopy.

.. I covet a Golden Shower Tree .... loves heat. But, we have horrid freeze in winters sometimes and Golden Shower can't sustain. This is the next best thing.. I guess.

Thumbnail by Aguane

Very nice! I have about 8 baby acacias growing from seed just now but I bought a packet with mixed seed, so I'm not sure which they are. I'll have to wait and see! I put in Acacia pravissima this year because it's supposed to be able to survive our latest winter weather. I do hope so!

Dallas, OR(Zone 8a)

forget me nots
