I just keep looking at those kohlerias!
Took a few pics yesterday while cleaning and grooming plants.......finally got Blue Mars back........
I clicked to see your post.......and I was told to keep Kohlerias very moist all the time......and not let them dry out at all. (????)
April Flowers II
yup she sent me a few unnamed plants, and since you wanted nancy block streps,i shared
JIM
Well I certainly thank you.............she is a nice one...........
Lovely pictures as always Gail!!
Jim,GL or one of you Strep. experts, can you help me with an ID on the little one I posted at 12:38 above? Her tag was wrong and I would love to know who she is.
Lynn
Ibrabec, I wish I could help you with an id on your sweet strep flower but I don't know. Did you get it from turtlechi? Maybe it's Lucky Strike? On the kohleria bud drop, keep your plant evenly moist and also low humidity can cause buds to drop. My guess it's the lack of enough humidity.
mortswife, so nice to see your blooming plants! They sure brighten the day.
gessiegail...Fancy Pants is neat with both colors on the same plant. I have a baby FP that has buds so we shall see what it decides to be. Marna is a fav of mine and will continue to grow that one. Blue Mars is a great plant too. It takes lots of time and effort to grow all you do so well.
bemedel. Always a joy to see your thriving plants. That Travis Fran's Breanne is so soft and lovely. Kohleria Marquis De Sade is stunning.
jannich...super growing on your pink kohleria loaded with bloom. Between you and turtlechi's kohleria beauties, kinda makes me want to grow them more again.
Susan, you are growing everything just great. You can leave the leaves in the box the way they are covered for a long time. I don't remove the plastic wrap. I check now and then to see if it needs water then reapply the plastic but it loosens from lifting it. That's okay. That one kohleria of yours has such big blossoms and the Seren photo is eye popping.
phoebesviolets...you must be in heaven with all your plants surrounding you. Love the floral grouping photo. Beautiful. What is the strep?
syrumani...good luck with that little nub of a plant. I hope it will grow well for you. It will take patience which I lack at times. Did you say it was planted in a peat pellet?
Thanks for the compliments on the orchid cactus. I adore it and it has gotten even more gorgeous as the flowers enlarge. I will propagate that one for sure.
Your strep is lucky strike,im fairly sure, thought it might be bristols luv it,but its not,
Lucky Strike it is.... Happy Easter everyone...
Hugs,
Susan
ibrabec...I thought your mystery strep might be Lucky Strike and both Jim and Susan confirm that it is so you can safely label it now.
Is it time for a new April flowers thread?
A blessed day everyone...
Happy easter everyone,Have a great day,
Happy Easter to all!! ^_^.
Thanks everybody for the ID on my Strep.
Goldleaf,
That's a very pretty Orchid. I will try raising the humidity.Whatever the problem is it can't be too serious, because the plant is growing and constantly making new buds, but I would love to see one of them open for a change..LOL.Especially after seeing all the pretty ones Brenda,Jan and Sue have posted.
I also received four barely started Streps.in peat pellets planted in a tiny cup of soil from a grower.I asked her what to do next and she said to leave them in the pellets until the roots fill the pot. They are not doing too much yet,but I sure hope they make it!
Lynn
Can you say where those streps came from in the peat pellets? If you don't feel comfortable say so on the forum, please tell me in a dmail. I would like to know so I can spare myself ^_^.
I would like to know too.
same here
thanks
JIM
Lynn--can you post pics of the streps in the pellets? I'd like to see them
youre gonna make me like violets again LOL
very pretty,
cute
I don't know for sure what Episcia that is,but it sure is pretty. Maybe Goldleaf will know.
susan, I believe your mystery plant is a helioboros-Lenten Rose
GL I am in line for a piece of that pink orchid! Stunning!
everybody's flowers are so pretty. I have spent the day in jeans, pulling weeds
