Arlington TX RU ended......What was that plant I took home??
Sheila, I looked again and it is the mystery white mist flower plant growing right from the base of the old stalk. If it gets higher than 2 ft , I am bringing it over to you!
The white mist or the Joe Pye?? LOL!
I will take either.

Sybil, the plant in the hanging basket is a

The reason I recommend not putting it in the ground is that it spreads by rhizomes. That could be great if you need to put something on a slope or roadside, but it will take over a flower bed.
It makes beautiful purple flowers and works wonderfully in a hanging basket.
I hope you enjoy it.
Charlene
Was it one of the prizes? it is lovely.
It was a prize that I donated. Josephine, I also gave you a start of that same verbena.
Charlene

Excellent, you did a great job, thank you very much, I am looking forward to seeing it grow.
Thanks, Charlene. I hope the wind cooperates, and I can get outside in the dirt tomorrow.
Yes, Charlene, your plants and links have great info. How do you stay so organized?
BTW, if anyone likes the plant markers seen in the post above, there is a co op going on and the markers come in colors now.
Thanks Lynea, it was filled with friends and nice surprises!
Sheila, not only do you have the name of my close childhood friend, but share the same Birthday of my closest college friend. Sounds like you had a great day.Nice surprises are good!
Sheila, were the poppies you potted the breadseed type?
lorilea, thanks for the pic. Very pretty
Could be Anna, but since they were in my Aunt's garden when I got seeds from her back in the late 80's I can't be sure.
Ok, I will call them Auntie seed. Thanks again.
Still no claim on who gave me the phlox?? I remember it was someone in the middle row of tables and she was writing on the label as we were packing up to leave.
Also, who did I get the Garlic Chives from?
Stephanie... Looks like Anna promised you the JF Phlox..

Might that be the one?
The person who brought the mashed potatoes left the potatoes and plate at the swap. We enjoyed the mashed potatoes.
The plate is clear plastic with polka dots, should i save it for you?
Josephine.
That would have been Lorilea that forgot the dish.
O.K. I will hold on to it and bring it back in the Fall.
Josephine.
Sheila, I have the JF Phlox and it's labeled. This was a last-minute grab off the table kind of thing. It's a low growing phlox.
Maybe if you put in a photo of it and the pot someone will recognize it.
Ahhhh! I planted all your "babies" and it just made made me feel so good to see them in their new homes. Hoping for some rain.
Shelia, I've already planted it! Wow, Anna! You've been busy! I have about half of my babies planted.
Sheila, the question about the love plant WAS from me..I was searching for Hawaiian Love Plant which is why I couldn't find it. thanks for the info.
BronchBuster
What was the compost tea recipe?
I remember 1/2 brown 1/2 green in 5 gallon bucket with water
sit x14 days
what was the dilution?
Thanks, I have a some powdery mildew that needs to go.
Ohhh! I'd like that recipe, too!
Josephine, sorry I left those. I was overwhelmed and forgot everything. If you like you can keep it. It's just one of those little dollar items, nothing real fancy. Also, I left some salsa. Hope someone enjoyed them too. But I am sorry I left it for someone else to pick up. Next time I will be more organized and not so forgetful.lol. I really had a nice time. And again, thanks to all that gave me the wonderful plants.
I will try to remember to bring the plate next time, I really don't need it bit it is very cute.
Please remind me about in the fall.
Josephine.
The 2 in the back are salvias from Art & Linda. They bloom red, but I don't know that we know what kind of salvia it is.
I don't know anything about the plant in the front.
Thanks steph. How much space do they need? If you know. Your guess will be better than mine.
I really don't know, but Ted said they grow to be about 18"-20", so I'd plant them about 18" apart.
Thanks
The 4" black pot is from me. I brought some pink and some purple, I don't know which you received, but I think it is the pink. Here is the link to it: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/54108/
Charlene thanks alot. My memory about what and who from the RU is hazy and my nose is still snuffy.
