I thought so too! Boy, did I luck out... blackberry and peach are both my favorites.
Stacey, I haven't opened the bag yet; I had to spend most of the day getting things inside and watered before the freeze. But bulblets will grow into bulbs, so I'll be sure to plant those too. Thank you!

Arlington TX RU ended......What was that plant I took home??
Beautiful!!! So Charlene, where do I keep them until they grow out? I know they are too small to be trying to plant. Do I keep them in shade?
Thank you Charlene, we wouldn't feel right if you didn't come to our swap either.
Josephine.
Sylvia, keep them in a sunny window for now. When they get their true leaves (and after the last frost) plant them outside.
Charlene
Lynea, I separated the three Bubba willows and put them in three pots, I didn't want to make a rush decision on where to put them, so this way I can think about it and put them in the best location.
Josephine.
Thanks, Josephine. I just want a few of the batface cuphea seeds, and I am glad they were not scattered by the wind!
We had a very good time and appreciate everyone's effort to make this a successful RU. We had a quick trip home since I remembered that last fall going home by myself I took I 30 west and then went south on TX Hwy 16. Arlington to Goldthwaite in 2 1/2 hours without speeding at all! After we got on I 30 we saw two traffic lights before reaching home and both were green when we got there. Hope to see lots of you in College Station/Bryan and Jacksonville next month!
Ha, Sweezel. I do not envy your studies. It would be so difficult to stay focused this time of year. I'm proud of you, tho. Hang in there!
Josepine, I hope I didn't burden you with the bubbas. It was such a shock when it fell apart, I panicked and threw all three in the box.lol This way at least one sure to survive :0)
I'll have to get some wisteria for the back half of my place. It'll be nice to have something besides cactus back there with my 2 does.
No problem, I potted them and they didn't miss a beat.
Josephine.
I don't know if it would work or not. I would think a goat on a dry lot would eat it, whether it's good for them or not....just cause they're nutty like that ;0) Then it would die while its head was stuck in the fence, but not before giving you one good kick while your trying to save it.lol
Okay! I've sorted through my plants and have a few unknowns or I know what the plant is, but not who it's from. Please help me out!
Who did my husband acquire the aloe vera from? I've killed every single one he's gotten. You'd think he'd learn! LOL I told him he was responsible for this one!
Who did I get the Lyreleaf Sage from?
Who did we get this salvia from?
Stephanie, I think I gave you the lyreleaf sage. I had aloe, but I am not sure if your dh got one of mine or not.
Charlene
Corn Casserole:
1 can cream corn
1 can whole corn
(***Do not drain, use the whole can)
8oz sour cream
1 small box Jiffy cornbread mix
2 eggs
8oz sharp cheddar cheese
1 stick melted butter
1/4 cup milk
-----------------------------------------------------
Mix all except cheese. Pour in 9x13 casserole dish and bake at 350 for 20min. Remove from oven, stir in cheese, then bake for 20 more minutes. Enjoy!
Stacey, thanks for posting that!
Stephanie...the sad looking poppy, the larger nice one, and the pack of poppy seeds were all from me. They are all the lettuce or opium poppy I have. It was from ones my Aunt had and I have no definate ID of variety. They don't like transplanting and I wasn't sure that one would make it is why I included a whole lot of seed for you.
I bet the salvia is the one Art had. The Aloe may be one from my neighbor Glenda brought if it is a small pot.
A little droopy there but nice that it did since it was just dug up too.
I don't know about everyone else, but I pulled everything in last night that wasn't planted. This morning I looked out at everything else and nothing seemed too bad. The cannas that were just coming up have brown leaves, but they will be fine. Other than the tips of my turks cap and milkweed I saw very little damage.
The Iris, Brazos Penstemon, poppies, daisies and other things that are blooming now out front were not touched. Hope you others missed the late freeze damage too.
Last one! Who did I get thr phlox from? It was in a one gallon container. What kind is it and/or what color?
aardvark - thanx
Hmmmm - I wonder if 8oz of pepper jack cheese could work.........
I don't know where or who asked about the Love Plant, Peg maybe? This is the info on it. I got my start from TARogers, it grows like crazy so keep it potted so it won't be invasive. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/68271/
Anna, your first pic is of poppies. Did you get those from Sheila, she's the poppy queen! LOL
Anna, it wasn't me. All my goods were potted. Must have been Patricia.
Charlene
Anna, I don't recognize any of the plants in your first photo. The second photo looks like the bareroot daffs 'Ice Follies' that I gave you. If there are thirty or so in the bag, that's them. They bloomed in early February, so you can cut them back before planting or leave the foliage to die back on its own. The white shrimp plants are in a 4" black pot with smooth sides, and there are two separate plants in the pot. One my pet peeves is unlabeled plants, but I was guilty on several of mine this time. If the white mistflower is an imposter, I am guilty there too. I thought I had correctly identified it, but I am nowhere close to being an expert.
The white mist flower you have doesn't look like mine, it is a woody plant and the leaves are different, Ageratina havanensis
http://wildflower.org/gallery/result.php?id_image=2214
There is another type Ageratina altissima, maybe that is the one you have

Josephine.
The "White Mistflower" is a Eupatorium but not the one usually called mistflower - Eupatorium havanense aka Ageratina havanensis. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/106752/
It is actually White Boneset - probably Eupatorium serotinum. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/113236/ which looks more like Joe Pye Weed than the short Eupatoriums. It attracts lots of moths and butterflies when it blooms in the fall, but it's not a small city lot plant. It gets over 6 feet tall and 5 feet wide and spreads everywhere. Not really pretty in bloom either. Kind of a dirty white. I transplanted one into the back of the lot two years ago and now have about 50 coming up this year back there.
I saw that air plant at the RU and was wondering where it came from. I did not know it could be hardy here. in Miami, you just break off a leaf and it start growing ... and stick it in the soil ... never knew it made a flower. interesting ...
Sylvia....It would probably in our area, but I didn't take any chances. Wanted to warn those down south.
Anna.... The poppies were from me. They don't like being transplanted so I kept digging and trying. The ones in the ground were growing better than those in pots too. Hope you got home with the seeds too. If not I will give you some later.
On the W Mistflw tag...could it be marking the small plant just showing on the right?
Glad I asked. I suspected it was not Ageratina havanensis "white mist flower" so thanks. Have yours come up yet?
Patrob, I thought those 2 shrimp plants were passionvine...I will post it tomorrow to be sure. ID is not my strong suit...I think I once ID a mushroom as a sea creature long ago in Biology! Does your "white mist flower" look like the second one that Frostweed posted

I got the seeds Sheila, thankfully they didn't blow away! I didn't expect to get plants so I just assumed it was something else. Thanks! I think that other plant is dwarf mex petunia.
I am nursing one little Joe Pye Weed plant!! I only hope it will spread! LOL!
No, the extra I got from you is a low-growing little thing, resembling frogfruit. Even has the white flowers. But it's not frogfruit, and since you said it was a weed, I, um, don't have it any more. :)
Sheila, Joe Pye Weed is much prettier than this one. Hopefully the butterflies attracted to yours will be prettier. The moths attracted to the boneset were all very small thin black ones and a few very small brown ones (not skippers or pretty ones).
It looks like I did not take a picture of the plant last fall. The area where it's planted is so overgrown by fall with the ragweed and such that I got tired of pulling out that I am not surprised I had no desire for a picture.
Thanks to everyone for the great time I had at my first RU. I wish I could remember all the names, but my memory has gone way south. Anyway, you all made it a fun day for me. I was given an elephant ear, vinca in a pot that must have shade, I think, and verbina in a hanging basket that shouldn't be put in the ground. At least these are the snippets of info that I remember. I know what to do with the EE. Could the nice "givers" refresh my memory about the two other plants, please?
