Great solution. I've often thought I would like to have a hive in my yard, but I want someone else to maintain it....
Has anyone else ever done something like this?

There is a forum, or a thread somewhere here on DG that is all about beekeeping. I saw it the other day when all this was going on. I'll see if I can find it.
