Lea -- i was hoping that i would do less each year.. but it's not working out that way.
I keep finding more neat plants that i just want to have. Though sooner or later, i will run out of room...

oh yea -- by about that time we will probably move and i can start all over again.

The twist-em idea wasn't mine - I got it from someone on one of wintersowing threads, though I can't remember who. I find the metal skewer works well for holes in the plastic gallon milk jugs - a center punch might work better - basically anything of strong metal with a point, and preferably a taper to make the hole wide enough.

What's the deal with Basil?? It;s like i cant get this stuff to germinate to save my life.
I had one seed germinate over a month ago, and it has not grown since... it's miniscule.
last year.... all i got was Lemon Basil, which was OK, but not my preference.

regular basil... zip nadda nothing. and i LOVE basil.

the one that did germinate, then stall out.. was this Thia Basil... Queen something, i got from George [ansonfan] last year.

Oh and i wont even get started on what i've KILLED this year.... **hangs head**
