Pelle, those pictures are GORGEOUS!!! I like the last female cardinal the best, but they are all great. I can feel how soft they are just by looking at them. That's just amazing.

Adelbert, what pretty jays you have!

I have been on a lot of photography forums but the photography of the members here has improved much more than that on those forums. I guess it is because of the interest and dedication ya'll have in the subjects.

Gardn_whisperer, your Waxwing picture is beautiful! I just love waxwings. I've been waiting for them to visit my neighbor's Mulberry tree. They haven't shown this year and the starlings and robins are going to finish off the berries soon.

Scic, those peanuts all lined up like that just cracked me up. No wonder the birds are screaming at you!

I will be out again in the morning till it starts to rain and then I will have a break till late friday, I hope it comes as rain and not snow

I line up the peanuts because I noticed that the blue jay will check one each one he picks it up gives it a little shake and goes to the next one like he is checking which one has the biggest nuts inside, he is so funny

I like your pic with the better half

there are so many birds here that I've never seen
(in florida or new england)

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

I live in the middle of the woods so birds are aplenty and yesterday morning as I went around the corner of the house I came face to face with a deer that was just standing there I dont know who startled more me or the poor deer lol I laughed by myself again lol it is becoming a habbit of me laughing when I am by myself people are going to start wondering if I am all there

sometimes its the dog doing something or the cat or the birds or someone on DG that will post a funny picture this site has been a life saver for me this winter since when its cold I cant go out and it has been a way of getting out lol without leaving the house

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

Such beautiful photos everyone!!

One of my beautiful Crows landed just a few feet away while I was taking photos.

Thumbnail by ducbucln
Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

The Crows are all busy gathering dead grasses for their nests. They're also playing and soaring in the wind. I'm guessing this is part of their mating rituals since it's that time of year.

Does anyone know why some of them fly with their feet down and others keep them close to their body?

Thumbnail by ducbucln
Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

This Oak Titmouse gave me heck when I opened the door to walk out on the deck. He was guarding his mate in the birdhouse nearby and made it clear I was to walk the other way.

This is the first year that the Titmouse and Tree Swallows each have a house that's just a few feet from each other and there's no constant fighting each other as in the past.

Thumbnail by ducbucln
Rockport, TX(Zone 9a)

Duc, that Titmouse shot is so funny! I love it. That first crow is really a spectacular shot too. Getting such detail on an all black bird is quite remarkable.

Marlton, NJ

That Titmouse is adorable duc!
