Here's a pic of what I think is a Great Blue Heron that decided to fly away just as I was taking the picture. I see a pattern developing! :))

The lifer was not mine. That was Crazybirdlady.

adel, I love those (Oregon Form) dark-eyed Juncos!

We haven seen a Towhee in some years. They used to 'drink your tea' all over the place. Still plenty of woods in patches so I don't know where they are now.

Whiteside County, IL(Zone 5a)

iris, Cornell reports "Populations declining throughout range, most severely in New England."

too sad.

Woodbridge, VA

Good morning, and thanks Fellow Birders: I needed my "fix" of photos of beautiful birds, in order to start the day, and you came through. Iris, at least one of your Towhees is here, but I'm not sending him back. I have yet to see Lady T. but I'm hoping that she's here, too. A blessed day is wished for all.

Frank, I love the dove in the puddle shot!

Congrats on the Lifer CB!

Adel, your Lesser Goldfinch so pretty. Our Goldfinch are getting more & more yellow everyday! Of course they are also leaving the yard and not coming to the feeders as much too. :(

South Hamilton, MA

We could share him every other year?

The Ozarks, MO(Zone 5b)

I had gotten lazy and put the camera on auto lately...but after this morning bad pics I have put it back on shutter mode. Course I have to get back in practice now!

I had hardly stepped out the back door when the Yellow-bellied Sapsucker showed up. But since I hadn't put the suet out yet it didn't hang around long. SO just one shot.

All wonderful pictures everyone. Adel; your M. Dove is so cute. Mine have been around all winter here, and often I find in pair.

Manzanita, OR(Zone 8b)

I love everyone's photos too! I'm especially jealous of you people that have such great photos of the woodpeckers. I see them all over on our daily walks, but they're usually on top of a telephone pole and the photos don't come out well. Apparently they don't like my fruit suet either.

Beautiful pics Duc!
I love your sapsucker Nanny.
Rose, nice red-bellied.
Adelbert, that lesser goldfinch is fab.
Frank, you were really holding out on us! Thank your girlfriend for me.

It really is spring! I had two male Hooded Warblers fighting in my yard this morning. Whoohoo! It was impossible to get a good picture. The one that stuck around was in the shadiest, thickest brush and it was already really dark and cloudy. I'm excited though, so I'm sharing this pic anyway!
