Speaking of angel-wings... Jennifer (jenepat), I promised you some cuttings from my hanging basket. I started them when you asked. So far, I have a few that are rooted, but just barely. I will probably have to bring them wet and let you grow the roots a little longer before you plant them.
Liz, I promised you an Indigo Spires. So far, I can't keep that promise. IS normally roots in about 30 seconds. But so far, all my attempts have just rotted. It seems to still be very early for my salvias, and that one in particular. I may have to get it to you later in the spring.
North CENTRAL TX RU **April 5th ** in ARL>>> (TRADES #3)

I would love some dichondra falls also, Please advise if there is anythign on my list that you would like.
Lizzy
sometimes, typographical errors are funny; " anel wings "
Liz, I can get you a indigo spires. I have one that needs dividing, good excuse to get the job done :0)
Ardvark, I having trouble with the nepeta. I got 'walker's low', no problem. But, can't get the six hills giant to root. And haven't seen my pink cultivar, I fear the worst. Sorry, If go to the fall RU, please remind me, I know I can get 'six hills' to root once the weather stay warms.

I would love may night salvia
Is there anything I have you would like in return?
I'll put your name on the Salvia, Lizzy. There isn't anything I need in return, other than to meet you. I have a cat named Lizzie LaRue, btw! :-)
Carla
Cocoa - no problem, and thank you for the Walker's Low. Funny timing; I just had to get onto Sapphire for inspecting my plants a bit too closely. Maybe she's looking for catmint. :-)
Anyone have advice on how to bring the daffodils to trade. Can they stay without soil and wrapped like daylilies or left dry or potted?
This is the first time I am digging them up. Thanks!
I have had to dig daffs before about this time to change flower beds and left them dry for a week or more. I simply cut the tops off and they made it fine.
If the daffodils finished blooming at least six weeks ago, it does not hurt to cut them back and take them dry as they will have stored enough energy to bloom next year. However, I generally pot them in the spring or wrap the bulbs in wet newspaper to let them continue to grow as long as they want to, but I dig them and take them dry in the fall.
Wish I knew what they were doing 6 weeks ago...Thanks, that is still helpful.
Josephine do you have anymore Mexican Flame Vine, mine didn't make it through the winter. At least I can't find them, maybe thier late to come up?
I am sorry, I don't have Mexican flame vine, it must have been someone else.
Josephine.
Pattie - thanks for the update on the angel wing begonia. No problem - I'll probably need a few pointers from you on Sunday about what exactly I should do to complete the rooting process.
Yea!! It's almost here!
Carla I will like some of your Maynight Salvia, I dont have much to give but a Marischino Cherry Hosta.
I am going to bring some succulents and some Elephant bulbs and a bunch of clay pots.
added red passion vine and basil to my want list.
carl
Hey SuzQ, I would love a red yucca or a sprig of the silver falls dichondra. Don't have much left on my trade list, but I'm about to add a few more things I found, so take a look and see if I have anything you might trade for. Or if you could save me a couple of the red yucca seeds I would really appreciate it. Stacey
StephanieTX, I planted a couple of the Batface Cuphea for you a few weeks ago and got two seedlings that I am bringing to the RU. I'll bring you some seeds too - apparently they are good so you can start some more if you want.
Does anyone have Texas asclepias or the orange Butterfly weed? My orange Butterfly weed (tuberosa) kicked the bucket early on (Thank you erratic weather and milk-jug slinging goat-dog) and the Texas asclepias is really hard to come across.
Stacey...since you are in FW, thought I would let you know that Plant Shed had Asclepias curassavica last weekend. They were 12.88 but were really full bushes. I will check my seedlings and see how many survived and share with you if they made it.

Stacey, if you have enough, could I get a few of your batface cuphea seeds too?
Lynea, if you have pineapple mint to share, I'd love to have some!
Sylvia, I'll bring a May Night for you. I don't need anything in return.
Carla
Sheila, I do have the curasavicca (I think 8-10 plants) so I'm ok with that one. I've also got two of the syriaca, but I'm trying to find tuberosa or texana. I'm not holding my breath on texana because I think it is not easy to come across, and then Josee (aka goat-dog) took care of the tuberosa.
Pat, I'll set aside some batface cuphea seeds for you.
Stacey, thank you for the Bat Face Cuphea and I'll take some of the seeds, too. Loved the description of your dog!! LOL
Lynnea~I'll take some mint and put it in a POT!! LOL How big does the indigo spires get? These salvias are growing on me.
I have some extra seedlings to bring, too.
6-Texas Salvia, pink (S. Coccinea)
6-Texas Salvia, red (S. Coccinea)
6-Blanket flower seedlings
Mabye some Butterfly mix seedlings (no idea what all's in the mix)
Low-growing mix (again, wildflowers, no idea what all)
These are all baby seedlings so will probably need to be babied for a few weeks. They're my winter sowing leftovers.
Stephanie
Stephanie, a mint has your name on it :0) You need indigo spires :0) It looks just like 'mystic spires' (wide grower) but it's suppose to be more narrow, columnar type habit. But after a few years it becomes indistinguishable from the mystic, so plan at least 3x3 feet (not including bloom spikes) full grown. Bumble bees love it and it's fun to watch them ride and bounce the spikes up and down, like a carnival ride.
May I have a pink S. Coccinea?please
Okie dokie! If it'll do well in dappled shade, I'll take an Indigo Spires.
Will put your name on a pink salvia.
I have several clumps of 'Indigo Spires' in full sun and they do great, blooming from spring until frost. I did have one clump in dappled shade. It grew and bloomed, but it did not get as big or bloom as vividly, so I dug it up and gave it away at one of the RU's. It was still a nice plant, but not as pretty to me.
Ha... the Case of the Runaway Indigo Spires. I planted a 4" pot last April. It got HUGE. It was so gorgeous, it took my breath away. BUT it was way too big for the spot I put it in. I expected a nice sedate medium-sized plant, like my other salvias. This one was easily 4' tall by 5' wide (maybe 6') by the end of the summer. When I got ready to cut it back, I had to get out a saw. It had trunks, not stems. LOL.
I will have a cutting of this, after all. Mine recovered. I started it for Liz, but Lynea, it sounds like yours are farther along. I will bring mine as an extra. It is a beautiful plant, as long as you give it room.
I have Mystic Spires too, out by the street, in full unrelenting 18-hour sun. It's never done much. I'm trying Indigo Spires in the same spot this year and will have something to compare by fall.
I was reading that seeds from John Fanick Phlox don't come true to the plant. If you would prefer something else from me please LMK
Anna
Not me, it'll be my 'Anna" phlox :0)
LOl, Pattie, they are big blue monsters. I have a biennial salvia that's going to bloom this year (hopefully) It's been a nice unassuming 12 inches for over the last year. When it blooms it's going taller and showier then a hollyhock, I'm beside myself with anticipation!
I'm almost ready, just a few cuttings and tree to dig. woo hooo!
Does anybody have a rose called Carefree Beauty AKA Katy Road Pink? I saw this beauty planted in our community garden at our MG plant sale today. Wow, its really carefree, full of blooms they tell me most of the year and disease free with dark green glossy leaves. I fell in love with it.
Some asked for Ghost Plant, I will bring some leaves with roots tomorrow.
See you all there
Peg....I am pretty sure this one isn't the one you are looking for, but if you would like two small starts of it that I have potted you are welcome to them. I am not a rose person and took this one out back about two years ago. Then this year up popped two shoots out of the blue, so I dug and potted them last week.
Aardvark, you were looking for Asclepia tuberosa? I have seeds, if you'd like some.
Carla
